Arkane Studios made quite an impression with Dishonored 2 and so did its sister studio baded in Austin with the reveal of PREY. The reboot is a scifi FPS that looks inspired by System Shock as information leaks suggested months ago. The title is set to release next year with more details at QuakeCon. Only the trailer images for the moment, we hope Bethesda will be able to send us the trailer in high quality soon.
Renowned Team at Arkane Studios Reveal Vision for Sci-Fi Franchise
June 12, 2016 (Rockville, MD) – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax® Media company, today announced Prey, a first-person sci-fi action game from Arkane® Studios - the award-winning creators of the 2012 ‘Game of the Year’, Dishonored®. Known for their creative gameplay, distinctive worlds and immersive stories, Arkane reimagines this franchise from the ground up, with an added psychological twist. Prey is slated for release in 2017 on the Xbox One, PlayStation® 4 computer entertainment system and PC.
In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted. As you dig into the dark secrets of Talos I and your own past, you must survive using the tools found on the station, your wits, weapons, and mind-bending abilities.
“At Arkane, our passion for creating unique worlds where you can improvise, experiment and play your way has driven our vision for Prey,” said Raphael Colantonio, president and co-creative director at Arkane Studios. “We’re excited to show you more of the sci-fi world we’re creating at QuakeCon this summer.”

Can't wait for the full quality video :)
In any case, I'm interested! The setting could be really cool and Arkane knows how to do good first person games.
When announcing a game, it's preferable to do so with information/footage that has some impact, not just something that warrants the comment "we know too little to judge". It's likely that they don't have any footage to show because the game's production started recently and was greenlit due to the success of Doom.
Let's assume the entire game is set within the realms of what's revealed so far.
A human experiment goes wrong in a human space station. Starring a guy in a suite with guns and special abilities.
What has that got to do with Prey? Is this just the intro into the world of Prey? Probably not as the title was rebooted. Will it contain 'Spirit Walking', portals and stuff such as changing size and walking upside down? Probably, and seeing as the studio made Dishonored before, it's likely that the abilities that one used in Prey will be used in a similarly as in Dishonored.
They ditched Prey 2 for this. A game that's likely a reimagination of elements from the original and the mentality of the latest Doom.
It's not necessarily a bad game, it's just not Prey 2. For me this is like teasing with the streets in the end of PT/Silent Hills, and then setting the entire game in a larger house.
EDIT: The only thing that makes me kind of hopeful is the glowing blue symbol.

But much like Korn, the bounty hunder thing that Prey 2 was supposed doesn't matter that much imo. This looks more interesting to me. Especially if Avellone is writing for it. Though, obviously i'd want to see what it plays like first.
Not really interested yet
I get why, from a business perspective, they titled this PREY but it is still a huge disappointment because it means there will never be any sort of attempt to rework the Prey 2 concept into something functional. Which is a shame because that looked like it could be a genuinely unique experience for the industry.
