The avalanche of new titles has overshadowed Batman: Arkham Asylum, and you should be ashamed seeing as the good the game looks, gameplay and graphics wise. Fortunately for you, we shot a long gameplay sequence we'll release bit by bit, starting with the magnificent introduction of the game. Needless to say, this is running entirely in real time.

Oh believe me, I definitely haven't forgotten about this game; it's one of the only games that I'm genuinely looking forward to this year.

One of my favs as well. I think this game looks as good if not better than most of the exclusives all the little fanboys keep ranting about and comparing. It really is pathetic that a game needs to be console exclusive these days for people to really get excited about it.

I hope this game is a huge success. Day one buy unless the reviews are really, really bad.

I Love the Batman Character and the the Two Films Batman Begins and the Darknight, those are to me the best adaptation on how a comic hero should come to life, never did favour when they made games based on our heroes, they always let us down. But this game has definately changed my perspective on all that. A must buy game for me. And Like blmbox said, I have no way forgot about this title...well done to Eidos and Rocksteady...

Outstanding, this just oozes polish(graphically that is). Can't wait to PLAY it. I can't believe E3 is over and there are no stinkin' demos online. Rediculous- they made the darn things, put 'em up already!...

Oh dude, don't worry about the hype, my neighbours even know about this game and everyone's excited about it. It's a Batman game, duh!

Have you guys seen the mission where a bunch of thugs are trying to smash up your parked Batmobile? Hilariously awesome, and sold me that the game will have mission variety.

Yeah that video is amazing... I also like the idea of batman's suit being ripped up further during the game. like if they stab you with a knife your suit will display a little tear... Later on it will start falling apart...

techincally this is outstanding.

However, I'm not too keen on the design but I guess it kinda works. I think I would have prefered the new look of the resent batman movies ie. a more subtle/realistic approach instead of using the 80's comics as reference.

Gameplay wise it also look very solid, so I'm looking forward to the reviews and a release. :)

Yeah, it's an awesome little touch to the game.

I just like the atmosphere more than anything. With the top notch voice acting - what else would you expect from Conroy and Hamill? - and stylish art direction, this game just oozes class.

Rocksteady said that it's the best game they've ever made, and that claim seems to be pretty accurate. I'd personally be gutted if this didn't get a Metacritic score in the mid 80's.

Edios said they were expecting the game to get 90+ scores, so I guess some careers are on the line if Rocksteady doesn't deliver.

The reason why it looks so good is basically how this generation of consoles seems to render things in general. If you notice, even when devs are trying to render realistic looking people, they still seem to have that unnatural-looking skin tone, and still look like clay or wax figurines. The reason why I think it looks so good is because they've went with an art-style that just suits the rendering capablities of the consoles so well. They are not trying to go for the realstic route, and as such the art style used makes everything just seem to fit where nothing looks out of place. I think it's the best use of an art style for an engine that I've seen in a very long time. Probably ever.

Then the game would look more generic as the new movies are meant to be "real world" Batman which is fine for the movies (especially since they're well directed and have great cinematography) but might look a bit bland for a game. (The Batman Begins game looked good but nothing special artistically.) Plus of course the Joker would have looked and acted crap. ;)

The last game I bought was Gears of War 2, so I've kind of lost interest in gaming. My 360 isn't even hooked up anymore, but this game will be mine. Looks outstanding.

I absolutely love the Counter button in combat, it makes the combat flow better and it makes it *look* like a Batman fight. Amazing.
