Probably the most visually stunning thing at the show, and everything was confirmed to be in real time, the actual game itself. The faces alone are so good, I was convinced it was probably going to be CG. The ship crashing into the bridge is just crazy. Beyond anything I'd imagined I'd be seeing so early in the generation.

The facial animation was really nice, but then so was so many other games at the show. Other then that. Who knows.

Agree, just stunning.
I'm more excited for the story as Remedy are great story tellers.

Looked impressive but no idea what the game actually is. I don't quite agree it was the most impressive thing visually though. The QD tech demo was undoubtedly more impressive looking to me. Anyway, very much a remedy game. They always excel in textures and lighting, although actual modelling is not always the most impressive.

You cant compare a tech demo to an actual game.

There wasn't much in there that looked like an actual game yet. Or it looked like an interactive cutscene at best. It makes me thing it is a Heavy Rain type game with minimal interaction. I mean they state it is going to be an action game of sorts, and that is Remedy's bread and butter but this reveal shows literally no indication of what the game is.

Its an Action third person shooter and everything shown is all in-game, a tech demo is just that a tech demo, they cannot be compared.

Have they ever come out and said it is a third person action game? Because they did not mention it in the trailer. They talk about an action "spectacle" and go on to emphasize narrative elements over anything else. They talk about you as a director influencing the cource of the narrative. I think this is an interactive action series where you manipulate aspects of the plot and use decisions to influence aspects of the narrative. I don't think it is a third person action game at all. It seems more in line with something like Heavy Rain to me, but blurring the lines a lot further between a TV series and a game. I think you will be able to manipulate the action sequence, but I don't think you will be able to run and gun.

Do they have a release date set?

You know, Alan Wake visually also was the most impressive game that was announced before the 360 launched.

It took Remedy quite some time to finish it.

Cool, but I don't think this is going to be in the mould of say Alan Wake, at least not the way they are explaining it. Quite a puzzling reveal.

It's an action shooter, but at certain intervals during the game, there will be something the team calls "junctions in time." At these points, you can affect the storyline depending on decisions you make in the game.

From what i've read so far, the tv show actually comes with the game. So my fear of getting live action cutscenes in this game are gone, it won't be anything like that. I haven't seen this video yet, but i'm gonna do that now. If this is all truly in-game....SICK!

I also heard that it's episodic and i then wonder...is it episodic like Alan Wake was? One full game but each level was an episode? Or will they actually release it like Telltale's Walking Dead? I hope the former.

No it's one full game, but like Alan Wake it's broken into game segmented episodes. After a game episode has finished, a live tv section will play and the direction of that live tv scene will change depending on how you played the previous episode, so different gamers will see different things depending on what choices they make (both come on the same disc). :)

I think you've quoted the wrong person. And I agree. Hopefully games will look like that tech demo, mind.

yeah said it a few times in the interviews. Gonna have gun play like max payne.. only instead of bullet time I guess the whole world freezes - that's the concept anyway..that these people have some sort of power where the world stands still and they can manipulate it whilst frozen.

You get to play 3 characters.. the two cops shown here (so yes..a WOMAN!!), and the bad guy.

The tv show comes with the game.. but its not clear yet weither the game will be offered in episodes, or an actual full game. They're trying to hit the xboxone release date so have a feeling it sadly might be episodes. The "cloud" is supposed to manipulate the tv show on the fly or something depending on your actions during that chapter of the game.

I'm hoping if its "episode based" its gonna be like alan wake and all be contained on disc.. then maybe the tv show acts as a kind of "previously on alan wake" thing AW had.

Either way, one of the more visually pleasing games this E3.. but we haven't really seen the animation or world in action yet during gameplay. Ryse looked visually striking too..but the animations certainly let down the impact of those visuals.

But good signs of things to come for sure. And glad a next gen titles attempting to do something new beyond the pretty graphics. Though i'm sure as amazed by them as we are now if it turns out to be 720p instead of 1080p the forums will be full of hate for them

Looked great and Alan Wake is one of my favorites easily, so I'm pretty excited about the prospect of a new game from them. However, I'll wait until it comes to PC just like Alan Wake did because the Xbox One is GARBAGE

Seen a few more interviews and it seems it will be like episodes in Alan Wake each ending on a cliffhanger, then choices you made in the previous episode, lets say episode 1 will be reflected in the live action short they show after, then that will follow into the games episode 2.
