There's an atmospheric haze filter, that when captured in static/ screenshot form does the games visual less justice, or so I hope :).

I have shifted my opinion on this. It is graphically shoddy, it is going up against massive expectation for story and gameplay, the hype machine has been in over drive which it can only fail at living up to. Since its announcement almost every AAA game looks better. Prey2 for example.
I hope it is cool but i have a feeling this could be this years disapointment, like Haze or FF13.

After seeing the beta videos, the facial stuff is just horrible IMO.
Their head just wobbles and is stiff.

Gunplay isnt that satisfying either.

IMO, I was going to buy it, only thing I care for is art and music in this game.
The OST is something I can easily get (which I have a few) and art, well, thats that.

I rather take on Prey 2, a real heavy sci fi with aliens, another planet...etc.

Just my opinion, dont hate :P

PS. If this game was completely in 3rd person video, I would buy it instantly!
The stealth stuff in first person is just stupid IMO, they should have copied off Splinter Cell Conviction/MGS.

There is a serious Matrix vibe with all the blank faces, lol. Seriously my only real knock on the graphics (not the best, but still just fine, IMO). Who thought "dead face" was acceptable nowadays?...

All I'll say is, once you play it all the hype is justified ;). It might not have the best technical graphics, but the art direction and every part of the gameplay is true to Deus Ex. This is a thinking man's RPG. Easy GOTY contender. Wish they'd release a demo soon to shut up the skeptics.

Off to pre-order this bad boy.

Yes from what I've heard from even die-hard fans of the original that have played it, is that it feels like Deus Ex and deserves the hype. Thats good enough for me.
