E3: Elveon trailer & images

10tacle Studios released this long gameplay trailer and some images of Elveon, and I can't say I'm impressed. I don't know if I should try to compare it with some of the old (obviously CG) screens, or Oblivion. Elveon probably fails on both though. Let's not forget that there's still alot of time left till the release.

Need to see the video, but I think those screen look quite nice. Was waiting for something much worse.. dont think theres any need to compare it to Oblivion or is this supposed to be the same kinda RPG ??

Maybe not the best use of the Unreal Engine 3 but remember they switched to this new Engine just some weeks ago.

I expect some nice improvements in the future.

Holy cow... I totally disagree with you blim, I think that blows Oblivion out of the water.

Had a very Epic "lord of the rings" like feel to the trailer.

Is this First Person or Third Person.

Character design is 20 times better than Oblivion.

what is there not to like? Oblivion pales in comparison to this. But on the other hand, Elveon doesnt have the scale of oblivion, right?

Personally I just hope they can keep this up and improve it where its needed.

With aliasing its going to look fantastic. I much prefer the art direction in this than Oblivion also.

Nah, but seriously - I posted like one news for every five minutes in like 5 hours yesterday. I could have been a little bit cranky, but: I haven't seen 10% of the stuff I've posted this week for myself, and I didn't see the whole trailer but fast-forwarded it. I just took a quick look on the graphics style, and that's what made up my mind. I probably shouldn't have written that, but I thought it was better than just writing "10tacle Studios released this trailer and these images.", the news page looks so god damn empty. Still, I can't say I'm impressed - but I don't know much about the gameplay, but the graphics in general doesn't look that good to me.

I think this game looks pretty good.. I dont see it looking any worse than oblivion, the screens just dont try to fake AA like oblivion shots did (or were badly upscaled).

Add some AA and this game will be as next gen as any game in its genre thus far.

I especially like the hires texturing and artwork on the armor. Nice to see sharp textures for a change. I was starting to think the 360 has 256MB instead of 512MB
