Our brave team in LA just came back from the showfloor with this new Forza Motorsport 5 gameplay video with the game played with the prototype wheel, at 60 fps of course!
Good to see that Microsoft are gearing up to screw everyone over with a new line of required steering wheels for the new xbox one. Every single thing i see moves me closer to switching to sony at the moment.

I think he means MS having a new specific set of wheels for xbone that you'll be required to buy to play with a wheel. I think it's confirmed the old wheel doesn't work, nor does the G27 etc.

Have they confirmed the G27 isn't compatible? I know it didn't work with the 360, but haven't read anything about this.
Hopefully the new Fanatec wheel takes inspiration from the ClubSport series (which isn't compatible with the 360) rather than the Forza branded CSR.
Looking closer, it appears the Prototype is a Thrustmaster. If it's anything like the T500 RS then that will be fantastic news.
Oh, and according to Fanatec's Facebook page
"We are working on a lot of stuff but our main target is to make the existing wheels compatible with next gen consoles!"

That's like saying there won't be Autovista in Forza 5.......because they renamed it to Forzavista. I'm sure there will be something like storefront.....it's just changed.
Btw it's not more arcade style racing....there are a lot of assists turned on, including assisted braking(*shivers*). Even the gearbox is automatic lol

Can't wait for this game. I may also buy a wheel this generation I think. I'm not sure how this looks arcade like to people. Dude has every assist on and is also driving auto.
For anyone who is complaining about their accessories not working on the next gen hardware, the same thing happens every generation of consoles. I will either need to mod or build new arcade sticks myself. BooHoo I expected that years ago when I got them for my 360
i have no doubt this will be the best racing franchise of the new generation. Say what you want about how shit the xbox one is in so many anti consumer choices (I know I'm seriously angry with MS) but Turn 10 really are the best of the best in making a truly well rounded and brilliant racing game. The graphics are insane as I expected them to be. It's gonna be really hard not to buy an xbox one just for this amazing game.

It's not confirmed Fanatec has come and said they are working on making it work with the Xbox One.

Looks good, but nothing spectacular... From the video gameplay i see it more a arcade style racing game, which is not bad! Horizon was great imo...
It's a shame they've had to cut features (to make launch, no doubt), but it still looks incredible. I thought day/night would have been a cert after Forza 4's different times, and then Forza Horizon's complete cycle, but I can live without it.
I didn't use the auction house much on Forza but I used the storefront extensively. I hope the exclusion is simply because of a replacement feature. They have mentioned you can still trade designs, and with every developer seemingly insisting on a second screen experience, I wouldn't be surprised if the storefront feature was shifted to Smartglass.

The good things out of this is that they confirmed the new lighting engine will make night racing easy to implement into the next game(you never know maybe even patched in at some point.) but for now we're getting a amazing looking Forza with great physics, great cars and great tracks.
I just wish Forza 5 was going to have a PC version. Then I needen't worry about buying the Xbox ONE. This is so far the only game that has impressed me. I have all of the Forza games so far and I also like Top Gear! :S
