The first videos our crew filmed on the show floor are here already, and because it's a tradition now, we'll start with a car racing game. Inside you'll find 1080p/60fps videos of Turn10's new installment in the series.
Visually and technically phenomenal. Every complaint thrown at Forza 5 has been upgraded. 24 cars on track...3D puddles with hydroplaning, 3D crowds, night racing, weather, deeper career, higher car count, still 1080p/60FPS...amazing achievement.
That is stunning. Did not buy Forza 5, tempted to buy Horizon because it was more fun than Driveclub. Definitely picking up Forza 6. Haters will hate but this is raising the bar. GT7 its your turn. That's why you have to love competition. The gamers win every time. Well, if you have more than one console. Smooth 60fps and 1080p. Loving the Rio track.
Turn 10 still haven't figured out how to model the drivers arms and hand. I wish they would give the same options as PCars. I don't know why that's not a given at this point.

I wish they did something simpler and gave cars licence plates, I find the back view of cars can look a little flat.

I hope Turn 10 NEVER adds plates. That one of the things us painter live off of in the game. Its one of the first things I do upon getting the game. Custom plates is big business in Forza.

How can you tell the crowds are 3D, any time in particular?

Sorry about the delay...was watching the PC Press conference.
You cant tell by looking at these off screen vids, instead you have to download the direct feed vids like this one. Scroll down the page until you see Forza 6, download and enjoy... http://news.xbox.com/media/?AssetType=b-roll|videos

I don't want to be rude, but GT5&6 already has 1080p (almost) 60fps(almost) and what is more on many tracks realtime, dynamic weather and day&night cycle, so to be honest Forza is catching up a game on 10 years old console and still lacks dynamic weather and day&night cycle.
Looks beautiful, 60fps(solid) 1080p , stunning graphics. And how do you even compare gt5 and 6 to this? Probably trolling. Its like comparing a lada to a porche.

Be sure to check the "Videos" box to the left side. The Forza 6 videos aren't in the "B-Roll" category.

LMAO, catching up? To what? GT has suffered from awful AI and awful sound design etc for several games now. People get so caught up on the bullshit spec side of racing games (god knows why) that they place it over the real meat of any game, the actual game play.
Any time I see someone go on and on about dynamic weather and lighting effects etc I know this is the type of consumer that is making the racing genre suffer, rather than focusing more on better and better physics and game play. I'll take rock solid frame rates and higher car counts etc over some silly childish rain effects and such bullshit.
Just watched the Brands Hatch vid.. at 1:50 check the white car ( i think its a vw ) it hits the standing water, aquaplanes and loses control!! Fkin love it!! Thats ya 3D puddles right there and its definetely affecting control if its deep enough!! Man i need a hands on with this soooo bad!

Different priorities really Nietzsche. There's room for all of the different types of approaches in sim racers. Personally I prefer sims of spec/sanctioned racing series, like F1 2015, PCars, WRC, Race 07, RFactor 2, GtR, etc...(although can't play pc sims anymore, dead pc, no cash) Dynamic weather/day/night is a huge part of the simulation of an actual motorsport weekend. Totally agree with car count if you mean actual opponents on track. As for 400+ cars, not a huge fan but to each his own. As long as framerates don't suffer, dynamic weather/day/night isn't childish. Just a different approach is all.
