The shield formation was the coolest part, otherwise the gameplay seems standard and really a vehicle for the amazing presentation. Hope there's more to justify the 7 years in unclear development.

Not sure what you mean about the diversity though. Do you mean that sometimes they require you to press B for the scripted event instead of A or X? I guess it is just frustrating to see this be a semi interactive movie, BECAUSE the tech, setting, and feel seem so tight. The actual gameplay though is pretty much non-existent. It would be like the new superman movie stopping every 5 seconds and requiring you to press play on the remote and calling itself a game...
This may not end up being the greatest game, but I'm definitely now curious and may buy it at launch.
