Video PS3

You loved the gameplay presentation of God of War 3 showcased during the Sony media briefing ? You wonder what happens after the cruel fade to black that ended it ? Thanks to DJMizuhara, here's the answer in video. As the end of the demo is quite long, we are forced to divide it into three parts. Here is the first one.
Update: the three parts are online !

That's brutality on a whole new level, lol.

That huge thing in the first video, was it a titan? Looked epic, when he stepped over the buildings.

When he takes Helios' head...its real-time blood splattering on his body. Awesome!
with 20,000 polygons, Kratos' model is second only to Nathanm Drake's this gen... who comprises of 25,000 polys.
environments are insane too, they totally look CG-like.

it just shows how much focus on the smallest details they are paying. The Cyclops' eye gorging is one of the most elaborated scenes in the history of violent gaming. the volumetric blood, the eye tube, the spasming giant...all awesome.

and I thought Centaur's intestines were the only belly-aching scene they are gonna put in there for the minion characters...

And his choice in quality arm and leg 2D chains are quite next-gen.

lol

Looks superb. This and Bayonetta are the only two games in this genre that currently have me interested.

Yeah, the Titans (I still need to pick up GoWII before III hits and also the PSP title). I think it was the Gamespot video I was watching where Stig (the game director) said that that Titan in particular was only half the size of Gaia, the mother of the Titans.

they still look way better than 2D chains on the gears giant machine gunners lol. and everything 2D on gears main characters heh;)

apart from chains, the animation, skin details and expressions are all super top notch. lighting(and all colours in it) is a totally different thing.

btw you seen the first vid above? totally massacres the scale there buddy. and in vid 3, the dark caves, the lighting puts all gpus to rest ain't it. the blood on the walls don't just stays there, it slithers down to ground, all Cell processing baby.

Thor: nope, more like all fanboy bullshit baby. Gow 3 looks good, no doubt about it, but the polycount thing is completely irrelevant, if you know what you are doing you can get the same results with fewer polygons. There is no "volumetric" blood in this movie, and there is certainly nothing particularly CG like about the graphics. It looks good but it still looks very much like a game and to be fair it's certainly not something that could only be done on the PS3.

Well, people have their reservations already, noloading entirely and all draw-distances and huge polygonal environments, Cell stuff is pretty obvious.
and this video is just an indirection of what is going to happen onwards. there are titans that have full god of war 2 stages going on at their palms in real time...uncompressed high quality streaming content...GBs and GBs of data-->Blu-ray? haha, you get the idea. and that's just one. let alone the physics shifting when riding a titan. only PS3 baby, only PS3. if not then why not a single game like this(or several industry leaders) ever on the rivals' system?

sure this game wouldn't stutter in rendering the 5th NPC onscreen in a closed environment heh!

thats what I meant by 'already placed reservations'...yeah, the game totally deserves it. just look at the track record. and judging by only this starting scene, its full on in promise to deliver :)

Thor: You do realize that all the stuff you are talking about sounds 100% like PR yapping? I can only judge what i see in the trailers and movies, nothing else. Let's just wait until it is released before praising it all too much and accepting this PR talk as fact, shall we? ;)

I had my doubts when I first saw the screenshots for this game.

Clearly, screenshots are just not the way to show this game. I absolutely love the way it looks. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's got amazing Crysis graphics, but the art style and movement of the characters is sooo cooool.

It looks like a perfectly acceptable continuation of the series, and that is all I wanted.

I must admit, the first half of the trailer (at sony conference) wasn't TOO great until the last fight.

BUT THIS. Holy crap, this is what I was waiting for. I want it now. Do we know of a release date?
