It's been a long time since we last heard about the Ninja Theory version of Devil May Cry. But Capcom has just released a trailer, some images and a press release of their upcoming title, soberly entitled DmC. Here they are!
From its debut on PlayStation 2 in 2001, the Devil May Cry series has been synonymous with stylish action, rewarding combat and a brash, smart-talking protagonist. This ‘Devil May Cry DNA’ remains but is now injected with a dark and brutal gameplay that promises to redefine the franchise.
Set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC will depict a duplicitous world where nothing is ever as it seems and the line between good and evil is constantly blurred. Spurred into action by the promises of a trusted relation, Dante bursts into this world intent on revenge at any cost. DmC will retain the series’ signature mix of sword and gunplay but add additional weapons, all new powers and a revitalised gameplay system as players encounter the game’s devilish mix of enemies and navigate the rich, interactive environment.
A true collaboration, DmC sees the team at Ninja Theory joined by key staff from Capcom’s R&D division. Creative direction for the title will be undertaken by Ninja Theory’s Tameen Antoniades and overseen by Hedeaki Itsuno, who has worked on all previous titles in the series. DmC is being co-produced by Capcom’s Japanese and North American development operations.

BEST GAME OF E3 PEEEPPSS!!! (and tombraider)
The King of over the top action is back! (until Bayo 2)
I need to see more.
@Sath: Ur just grumpy cuz of NG3 :P Hearing you say 'good' is good enough for me.
PS: coregameplay is there and it looks even better! Its freakin fast!
But in my honest opinion it looked like complet garbage.
There is no action games in the horizon worth a damn, unless Kamiya announce something.
- Game looks like PS2.
- Dante is emo/hipster/horrible.
- Music is pathetic.
- Gameplay SLOOOOOOOW
Capcom + Ninja Theory = The end of Dmc.
I hate to say it, but outsourcing THE japanese style-art-icon into europe wasn't the best idea at all. I'm really really sad about this and just hope it somehow returns to it's roots anytime soon.
And the gameplay still looks pretty alpha-like. I like Ninja Theory, but the animations don't even look half good as DMC 4's.
Dante is not an EMO/autistic/thin dude, he is a cocky bad-ass dude. I dont know why is Capcom is doing this. Instead of having more sales, because I suppose that they want the 650k units this franchise can sell in japan plus a lot more units in western territories (that is why the western developer I guess); what they are going to achieve is to not even sell 100k in japan (because they are xenophobic to every american-developed game), and they are going to alienate their current fanbase, (because most, like myself are not going to buy it), so they will depend entirely in new users in the western market whom play mostly Moder Warfare 1,2,3; Black OPS, Halo, KZ3, BF, MoH, GeoW, R3 etc. What I am saying is that by doing this they are screwing themselves and their fanbase.
From what I understand this game running on Unreal engine means it's pretty much impossible for 60fps as well.

Just hope gameplay will add something fresh and NT won't focus too much on the story rather than gameplay.
Looks okay but won't judge before a hands on.
Who is dante??
He isn't Dante, he's fake...
