Weird looking trailer. It's not nice looking enough to be CGi. But then it doesn't look particualrly impressive for a current gen title either let alone a next gen one.

Animated weirdly too. Just weird overall really, it's the best word for it.

I'm honestly hoping all the third person camera angles are indicating they're going third person for gameplay. The series sure as shit needs some sort of change.

Could have been better. A lot better. After showing us the open and vast landscapes of the ring with last years engine  trailer, we get confined to tight confined spaces with this years. I was expecting more. Graphically, it looks very good and the NPC characters seem to be more expressive than in past games. Looking forward to see where they go from here.

exactly my thoughts. I think the game was running on PC because I remember they said they gonna run halo on a next generation pc or something like that during e3 (basicly said the game will be running on a pc but will look just like as if it was running on scarlet).

Gears and Halo literally beat anything from Bethesda and EA's E3....
Couldn't agree more though that this E3 was a letdown.

As shite as the new star wars looks at least it was a stage demo of actual gameplay. I figured we'd be seeing some of that from the gears campaign at the very least given its 3 months away. Or even halo gameplay seeing as it's barely over a year away.

Sony litterally left E3 as an open goal and somehow MS hit the post. Absolutely insane.

Keanu is the best thing about this entire E3. Lol.

Gears will be out in months. and Bleeding Edge will be playable in 2 weeks. both games will be flooded with gameplay videos by youtubers. i'm sure of that.  E3 usually consists of trailers and teasers. fresh new IPs are usually in CGI. two decades of E3s have been this way.

The need of E3 events have indeed changed.  before E3 was mandatory for gaming industries. now Epic, EA, Bethesda, Ubisoft, Sqaure Enix and even Kojima Productions can post their trailers at anytime, if they so chose to. things are changing for sure.

Sony in particular just proved that they don't need a E3 event. they can do their own broadcasting and have a  whole show dedicated to them. this will likely be the future. and for a good reason. you can host more gameplay through their own channels. rather than fighting for time slots and air time.

Alas, E3 is still not over. but honestly E3 is now a bonus for gamers. you don't need to wait for a E3 event anymore to see some new games. gameplay can be uploaded to youtube at anytime.

oh and btw, the FFVII remake is going multi platform. a whole game play event for it will be soon.

a good question. This E3 was mediocre. not enough gameplay. are E3 events necessary anymore?
today we can get new IP announcements plus hour long feeds on twitch, youtube and discord even. these events take up people's time to watch through the whole thing.
