I wish MMORPGs stopped looking like they were made 2 years ago...
Sonic looks insane though!

The Sonic looks very impressive. Solid characters with solid enviroments. As for the PhantasyStar Universe, I think it looks insulting. Graphics don't entirely make the game, but with a universe as brilliant as the Phantasystar word, the developer should at least try to make the game look more appealing. So far it looks like POS in hi-res.

I dont like where they are going with Sonic at all, he should be running through bright green fields with blue skys above, not bloody destroyed grey cities, sonic was spose to be fun to play! not depressing!

And I thought FFXI was the worst looking "360" game........this game PSO looks to take the crown, or at least give a good fight.

If the mmo gameplay in most of these mmorpgs is sacrificing the graphical appeal of these type of games, I think they should stick with the offline concept. Or maybe the developers can perhaps come up with something else that could involve cooperative online play with these games. I played PSO and I can't say that I enjoyed the title. In fact it was rather boring.

Obviously you people never played a PSO game in your life, because graphics was never what made pso good. It was the gameplay and the community.

Got any more excuses? A good Dev has the ability to give us graphics and gameplay. As far as gameplay go's it's the same as every other kill the monster collect the item level up repeat infitum style game except with bad graphics.

Hey Sega 2001 called, it wants it's graphics back.

Excuses? No, I really don't care if you play the game or not. As long as it's in my hand and I find it enjoyable that's all the matters. It's just that it is a port and PSO never had good graphics to begin with.

Is Sega a good dev though this is what you should be asking yourself.

Yes they used to be and they have had some really good hits but lately they have become just as crap as namco.

I am looking forward to these 2 games however as i'm not a graphics whore and one of the few people who is actually satisfied with FF11. (Sega never said that PSU would be next gen it just happens to be coming to a next gen console)

As far as PSO goes, I'm not asking for much. I dont expect them to remodel everything in the game. But It's be nice to see some higher resolution textures on everything, and maybe some bump mapping or HDR lighting. Just a little bit of extra time on the engine for the game and it'd look much nicer.

I agree it would be nice to see a Tomb Raiders difference in quailty even if the 360 version is delayed for a while.

Im guessing the game engine doesn't allow for much though, i'll be happy either way.

yeah, the atmosphere in the old sonic games are way different than this! but hey, don't forget the chemical & oil plant zone from sonic 2 or scrap brain from sonic 1, or...yeah, but you still have your point.
new sonic is just a little too "real", though. and judging by the trailer it looks like this one is trying hard to have a long meaningful story, even more so than sa1's. anyway, sa1 & 2 were great for me, and if this is as much fun, than i welcome it.
i just wish the formula was more like the 90s sonic games. how can they do that? i don't know!

btw, i think this PSO game wasn't made for the 360 from the beginning. it's a port isn't it?

Excuses? It's a port of a PS2 game, and for that reason I think it looks very very good. The game will be a lot of fun and if you want to miss out on it because you don't think it's pretty enough, that's your loss I suppose.
