Electronic Arts again, and this time a trailer for Mirror's Edge. What an incredible looking game this is.

Yeah, I love the visual style, but I'm not sure how plausible it will seem. It's hard to imagine an unarmed person taking out three guys with rifles. Hopefully the game will try to explain why the enemies' aim is terrible.

I would never support any game that that competition-swallowing entity EA publishes. Even if this turns out to be any good, I'd wait for it to hit the bargain bin, or buy it used.

good, its fun to see immature kids missing out on the fun for a lame "power to the player" mentality.

The music is great, really adds to the atmosphere, and it looks like they added some ambient lighting from the sun to the outside areas. Looks nice.

So even if EA is slowly but surely transforming into a company that, hold your breath, releases GOOD INNOVATIVE GAMES, you wont support that because you are too stubborn and narrowminded to see the change?

Im sorry, but with Mirror's Edge, Spore (yes not developed by EA, but maxis is owned by EA so it effectively is an EA game), i dont even have to mention more than those two.
Those two games are by far the most innovative original amazing lookin games i have seen in MANY years, and they bare the EA badge.

EA is changing, i can feel it in the earth, in the wind, in the waters, in the forest.. lol :P
But it just is. And frankly, if we take Spore as an example (as always). Im GLAD that EA bought maxis, it means that they can get whatever financial support they could ever dream of, to make the game as high quality as is humanly possible, rather than being forced to release it unfinished due to almost going bankrupt (Stalker, anyone?).

Yes it looks cool and even sandbox-like. But it's actually a piperun, you can't decide where to go and imho that's why it looks so good too :P

"Similar" game (with hud perspective, hands and legs showing, screen bobbing, kicking, punching and shooting) was done on the original xbox in asia... Can't remember the name. It looked cool tho :)

But surely will keep my eye on this 8|
