its probably more a personal taste thing, buit I liked more when the game was desert themed, and I think somehow it had better graphical touches here and there, now there is more stuff to draw-in and all that jazz, and it seems it kinda... compromise some former fidelity to acheive other kind of visual goals. wathever.

i realise it doesnt look great when a tiney motorbike it racing around all on its lonesome (thank snoopers for that...lol)...but you cant have a 3 inch wide track when 16 vehicles ranging from monster trucks and lorries have to be able to race around it...lol
its a beta build, seeing how the first one turned out, i have complete faith that all the visual pegs will fall into place, through countless interviews they've already said they would work on gameplay first then tighten the visuals..it loks fun, i can't wait!

I couldn't figure out how they would incorporate so many polygonal trees but they have and it looks fantastic.

I'm sorry, but comparing this to Crysis and calling it an easy rival is non-sense. Nothing comes close to the detailed graphics of Crysis. That doesn't mean M2 doesn't look good. And you can't compare the open environment of Crysis with a closed circuit like this. I don't understand why you are so hostile about it? No need to become insulting. Just enjoy and relax.

How can you say thats even close to Crysis? What level of detail did ur blind eyes play Crysis on? Those textures are awful on the ground, the vegetation is NOTHING special... does it move with u and stuff? is it destructible? A lot of that vegetation looked 2D too...
Crysis is a LARGE margin above ANYTHING on a console in EVERY aspect and there wont be anything on PS3 or 360 to "rival" it, not even by the end of their life. Too bad Crysis is a turd for optimization.

Okay, see? Now you're just talking sh*t.
Firstly, what kinda X-ray vision sort of eyes you have to note bad textures...OR ANY TEXTURES FOR THAT MATTER, from an off-screen video???
Secondly, the vegetation DOES move with you, and by actual physics. Go watch the previous videos showing how plants will get torn apart and pushed aside by your vehicle.
And lastly, I doubt consoles won't be able to trump Crysis in terms of graphics. I really do. Especially on PS3.
This time we`ll all hopefullt have rumble too which will add ALOT more to the overall experience!. It was sorely lacking in the first game. It looks great so far and I`m stoked for it`s release.
