Game will be amazing for sure, but the choice of engine is incredibly disappointing. Morrowind came out what, 15 years ago? And Bethesda is still too cheap to license a new engine? They did some pretty good work here to bring it close to today's standards judging by these screens, but Gamebryo (Creation engine's) weak spot has always been faces and animation.

I know, it's just graphics and the game will be amazing regardless, but it could've been mind blowing. Let's face it, graphics ARE a big part of immersion and looking at claymation faces and robotic animations will take it down a peg or two...

graphically it looks very bland and average, I know they will say it was for budget reasons but then I would say to them im getting this at somepoint preowned...for budget reasons

I'm not going to act like I won't buy it at launch and I'm sure it will be great fun, but Bethesda is really getting outclassed here by clinging to 20 year old tech....especially after seeing all the outstanding new games at E3. I think they are confident to just rest on their IP's (Elder Scrolls/Fallout/Dishonoured) and feel like they don't need to upgrade their tech. I don't buy the whole financial woes thing either. Their games all sell multimillion copies. Perhaps Todd Howard needs a slight paycut if he thinks the Morrowind engine can compete with other tech in this day and age.

You clearly barely know what you're talking about. The engine does not determine the quality of animation. Poorly skilled animators are the cause of poor animations. The bad looking faces are also handled by outside software, not Gamebryo. The bugs and wierd issues with these games is due to Bethesda's incompetence in those areas, not Gamebryo. It is certainly not the "same engine as Morrowind". That's ridiculous. Engines like this get updated all the time to the point that they're just as powerful as other modern engines.

Besides from what I've seen, the animation is a big improvement from previous Fallout titles and the faces don't really seem any different from typical triple A games these days? The Witcher 3 for example, the main characters looked pretty good but almost every other character in the game had their face copied from a basic template so you saw a LOT of similar looking NPCs.
