That's it, we are officially done with all the E3 footage Miguel was able to record/film. To end our E3 coverage with a bang, we have some direct feed footage of Knack 2 played in co-op. As usual, remember that the version shown here is not final yet and as such, should not be considered a faithful representation of the final product.

Also, in the E3 trailer, facial animation has clearly improved since the first game with Ryder's face being a lot more expressive.
Its strange the way the first game was hated on so much yet Knack 2 doesn't really look drastically different from it, yet is bizarrely previewing very well. I guess the overall visuals and Knack's moves have been improved greatly, especially co-op attacks, as seen here.
But I was actually hoping they would go more ambitious with it and target the design and "open world" of Jak and Daxter, the kind where you can run from the start of the game to the end without a single load screen.
I guess its a bonus that, just like Everybody's Golf, it will only be around €34.99. :)

it still has that really bland and empty environment design though. again, i kind of understand why in a game where you can be tiny or huge at any given moment, but i just wish they'd dress them a little better with breakable props or something. or at least have some foliage breaking through stonework or something, or make the areas looks less like a box.
i mean, this was taken from the latest gameplay footage they released over E3.
could that look any more boring? they could have at least made a patterned floor or something. or it not be a fucking box room, a hexagon? a circle? anything.
honestly it feel like what it is. a game built by a technical expert, and not a creative designer. it just misses a ton of details that would make the world seem way more appealing to the eye. instead it's just square platforms attached to square corridors attached to box arenas. did they map out the game in lego or something?

and some areas do look nicer than others in knack, but they all suffer the same problem in terms of use of space and a general lack of artistic polish. it's just the most basic level design you could come up with and sadly it doesn't seem to have changed in the sequel.
There are a lot of trailers missing from Gamersyde, and while I understand you guys can't put everything released during E3 on the site, some omissions are unfortunate. I made a list with the ones I believe are better or interesting. It's not a comprehensive list. I put it into a text hosting site because I didn't want to make multiple long posts in the comments section, but the list is organized and the links are clickable.

Please don't mind the long list, details and all the YouTube links, these are for in case you or anyone else want to see the trailers themselves and know who's the developer and/or publisher. There's a lot of games that didn't get enough or any attention during E3 and this is a way to expose them to more people and help create awareness.
Though I do hope you can get in contact with some of the developers/publishers and get most, or at least some of these, on Gamersyde in high quality. With the official site's links, it will be easy to get in contact with the developers/publishers and ask for high quality versions of the trailers. Good luck!

Have you played the 1st game? I remember you bashing the original again and again! How can you judge a game that you never played (you hated it, right?)?
Play the games you like and stop spreading hate towards a very enjoyable game like Knack!
and i know who mark cerny is. lol. what i was saying is this game needs more than just the technical game designer touch. it needs artists! you know, to make the world and characters appealing so that the function that they're creating with gameplay has some semblance of form that makes it compelling to absorb as a medium. knack looks like one of the dime a dozen pre-school CGi kids shows that are completely devoid of personality and charm.
The gfx were amazing (for a platform game), pixar quality! If you don't like them....I can accept it but it's your opinion only, many of us liked the gfx and we're really happy that they didn't change the art style for the sequel!
At least it has a sequel and that says a lot! ;)
