so after a over month old demo and the final won't be released for 3 months you lost your taste. Developer already said they recreate the island build every week and the physics engine has been tweeked. They also added the option to eliminate and tune motion blur. They also added the option to drive with either a more simulation style or arcade style like Forza. Theres also a ton more stuff they added and will be adding. So quit complaining because your sad that a basic demo let you down for the final game.

Also about the game crashing, the developer said it was a bug that evolved in the demo code and didn't show itself until release. He also said that he was pissed about it and that he didn't even know they were going to put in a 15 minute timer.

Any way you look at it; it's a pretty terrible demo. It's true--the final code could be much different--but I don't expect that they'll fix the games horrible image quality--horrible character models, etc..the game has some interesting concepts inside..but it's really killed by the sub-par presentation of everything..if nothing else I hope they fix the horrible pop-in detail in this game..especially noticable in the more distant trees..it's these little things that pull me away from the detailed experience they're trying to create..

The demo shows that this game still needs a TON of work to turn into anything interesting..the 15 minute timer on the demo pissed me off until I realised that no one in their right mind would want to play it for more than 15 minutes at a time anyway..

The car models look a bit better in the garage--they're using AA here? I hope to god they can figure out how to get 4xAA into the actual gameplay--it's a jaggy mess.

Even though the MotoGP demo lacks any good amount of AF--the lack of any good texture filtering is made even more aparent here by the bad everything else..thank god the other E3 demos rock so much in comparison..perhaps the TDU demo wouldn't seem so bad if the Lost Planet and MotoGP demos weren't so good--but they are..and they make TDU look even less apealing.

Very little faith in this product, we'll see soon enough how it turns out--I expect sub-par reviews all around.

Well your grouchy and I think its unfair of you to have this oppinion from demo that even says "Code Doesn't Represent Anything Compared To The Final Code".

Yeah I know I come off as grouchy--I'm a nice but sometimes negative person--of this I am aware..sorry 'bout that..but I'm just telling you how I felt about the demo..I know it's not final code--but like it or not they release demos for a reason--so you can get a look at what the game will be like..look how polished the Lost Planet demo is--that's not near completion either...as DEMOS go, it's pretty bad..

I'm not reviewing the final game here--I'm talking about the demo--and the demo is crap..will the final game be..less crap? Perhaps--but the progress that the demo shows leaves me less than convinced.

If a demo REALLY gives a bad impression of a game--a bad impression that's not any indication of the final product--what sense is their in releasing it at all? Plus, the last *GOOD* test drive game I played was for the uhh..Apple //c :P I would LOVE a game to deliver on the concepts they've got going on here..the whole concept of a massively multiplayer driving game is VERY interesting..but if the execution isn't good, than the great concept is wasted.

I thought the game has a nice concept but it won't lieve up to its expecations. I've played the demo and it's pretty good but THAT good and I doubt that there will be major changes in the final version of the game.

For one the graphics arent that great. The cars look nice and detailed and all but the eviroment is kinda wacky. I hate how the and bushes have that "rotating leaves" effect that was used back in the days of the super nintendo. Oh and it sucks how you can't run over them little bushes with flowers.

The cops in this game is a big gameplay issue here. The first time I got a ticket I was like "oh ok, that's cool" but after crashing against a police car, and many other civilian cars all the cops do to you is give you a ticket.

I think i'm still buying the game though.

I think adding cops was the most random idea they came with, and I dont like it at all. The graphics are ok for me, but thank god they are thinking about a tweakable blur option.

May I ask you GriftGFX, are you playing the game on an SDTV?

LOL grouchy i love that word..

I thought the MotoGP demo was pretty bad aswell GriftGFX, nothing visually stunning about that game.

Someones obviously not paying attention, the ticket has a fine, but the fact that it's a demo and you have no money means it has no relavence.

But if your saving up to buy a brand new car and keep getting police tickets you ain't guna get very far.

Ummm no, that was not my point. In the real world, after crashing into a cop car and running away, chances are that you're gonna end up being shot by cops.

Not in the UK you wouldn't ..:P

But then this game isn't set in the UK..

But if you got shot then you might die and then the game would be over .. if you don't die you would need to be hospitalized and then probably banged up.

How real do you want this to be exactly ?

Demo was clearly an E3 rush job but it wasn't all that bad. Certainly nothing that can't be fixed before release. So I guess it's back to waiting for more.

Thanks for the video Snoopers. Is there anymore in the series ?

The only downsides I had while playing the demo was the jaggies, the timer and the controls are a bit odd, but I kinda got used to them already, just hope what FordGTGuy said is true that they'we tweaked the game alot :)

I agree, the demo really put me off buying this game and it looked so promising. If they have made such massive improvements to the game then they should release another demo to win back the bad press they're receiving on this title before launch.

developers really shoot themselves in the foot when they release demo's of games that are not up to the finished quality because a lot of people will judge a game on a demo, and even if it isn't as good as the final game will be, most people won't know or care
