PS3

Now it's the turn of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction to get shot by our brand new video camera. Among other things, it showcases a fantastic rail-sliding sequence through the city, absolutely gorgeous.

Looks amazing. Ratchet and Clank, although entertaining enough, never really blew me away. Not sure if I'd get this but the graphics are hot.

Toy Story graphics ingame - hopefully we get a demo to be able to judge how it plays (I never played a R&C game before)

Now that's the game worth buying PS3. I really loved previous R&C ones.

Thinks that going a bit far, the gameplay doesn't look half as good graphically as the cutscenes, but thats to be expected i suppose.

Umm... Both of them use the in-game engine, so the gameplay CAN'T look that much worse than the cut-scenes. If anything, only the character models might be SLIGHTLY better in cutscenes (since there are lots of close-ups of their faces etc.), but like in PS2's Ratchets, the gameplay segments look just as good as the cutscenes otherwise

Lolz, Ratchet & Clanks are nothing like Kameo. They are 3rd person shooter platformer adventure games. They are a mix of 3rd person shooters (with a twist), platformers like Mario & adventure games like Tomb Raider + add a lot of originality & humor = Ratchet & Clank. If you like blowing things up in all kinds of ways, then R&C is worth getting. If you're dismissing R&C just because it has cartoony graphics, then you, sir, are not very wise.

Actually, they use exactly the same assets in gameplay as in the cutscenes, but it's only natural that you'll notice them less when they're tiny specks on the screen.

Which brings up that whole screenshot pleasing superfluous detail problem we're having this generation, but when things overall get this much care anyway I won't complain.
