As usual we had no problem getting footage of the games at Nintendo's booth, as long as we did other the shoulder videos. So here are 3 Super Mario Odyssey videos, including one in mobile mode.
Thanks for the videos. Although I don't enjoy watching off-screen videos much, Gamersyde's off-screen videos are still better than YouTube.
However, is direct feed footage not possible? (Even if you guys have to bribe, threaten or blackmail someone.)
My hope was that maybe you guys would be able to capture direct feed. But if that's not possible, we will have to wait till these games get released for proper quality videos.
Because man, Nintendo only releasing its videos on YouTube, which already has a shitty quality is fucked up. But the most aggregious part of all is that many are in 720p, which just makes them even more horrible to watch than normally. Even all of their Treehouse gameplay demonstrations are in 720p. No one deserves that.
Nintendo games are gorgeous, always have excellent artsyle and are full of details, but with YouTube at 720p... that just destroys a lot of the visual quality and details of the games.
It's quite heart-breaking watching Gamersyde's 4K videos and then immediatelly watching a YouTube 720p video. You have no idea, it's like going from heaven to hell and your heart just breaks. T_T
The game is amazing and the sheer amount of not only detail, but of so many things is incredible. I expect the final game will have hundreds upon hundreds of gameplay elements. It's really astonishing.
The person playing on the first video is really good. Props to him, whoever he is. And the person playing on the second video was having a real blast with the game. You could see how much fun she was having.
Mario games are always fun to play. It's one of those things that's guaranteed in life. It just puts a big wide smile on your face. I expect Super Mario Odyssey will get very similar review scores as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Perhaps even more.
