Team ICO have never let us down in the graphics department. Their games always push the hardware. No reason to doubt this will be any different :) Can't wait to see more. The 5th shot is just simply amazing.

This was E3's best visuals for me personally. Uncharted 2 comes in very close.

Best game of the show by a mile, and will likely be the best game this generation. Astounding stuff.

push? won't be anny different?

More like REALLY bad optimization or made for a PC in mind and the ported to a lesser hardware.
SotC frame-rate was..., god, i choose to let bad memories(nausea) like that stay in the past. ; (

My biggest hope for this game is that they have gameplay mechanics that are far more varied. The last two games stuck to one path the entire game and left little room for replay value. I'm worried this game will fall under the same curse.

Like all the Sony fanboys, I find these games very charming indeed, but I at least see through that charm and emotional impact and realize that under all the cutesy moments lies a pretty flawed game. I really hope this new one shows they can master deep gameplay design as much as they do personality and scope.

Then they will finally have their true masterpiece that everyone can enjoy.

Everyone doesn't need to enjoy it. I miss the days when games where made for niche audiences. At least the fighting game genre is making a comeback.

looks amazing except for the lightning on the kid, he stands out too much as if he was a glow stick or something.

Was gobsmacked when I saw this in motion. The story looks original and Can't wait for it's release. Possibly a big contender for game of the year already. Not going to judge which game was the best yet at e3. Uncharted and alan wake were huge offerings too. But all these games looking the part, who are we to complain. Best e3 ever. I am a little concerned with Nintendo I own all 3 consoles. And ive heard nothing much to get excited about with the big N's Wii. I am a fan of there games and a New Zelda was sketchy...dont wanna start a thread on that so anyway The Last Guardian is nothing but utter beauty in motion

They need to put some self-shadowing on the kid since everything else has it :)

Best announcement of E3. It feels like this game is coming during the right time, I've felt rather desentisized towards violent shooters for many years now. Bring back the adventure genre, bring back emotion into games! Go Team ICO! :)

I don't see what is so impressive about these shots. I doubt this is the quality it will be rendered with, and the image quality is soooo bad you can't really see the impressive stuff. It looks great, just not ground breaking in my opinion.

What's with all the arrows and spears in the animal's back? They are in different positions on its back in every image.

Apparently the kid can pull arrows out of the creature to help it, so it probably has different sets of wounds in each sequence.

Like SotC, this is going to transcend gaming.

-the arrows are shot into the creature's full body, and SotC like game will come for the kid has to take 'em out to get the creature's morale high, while hanging from the creature's body sitting, moving or even underwater.

-true physics has been used this time from NPC deaths to hanging, clinging to the masterful wind effects that will naturely effect the orientation of each and every stand-alone feather...all true physics(Ueda told ign in e3 interview).

CG-anime like looks are just one thing, the atmosphere and gameplay is going to take the experience to a whole new level.

I doubt the game will be 1080p native, and really hope the developers put their resources towards something more worthwhile.

In any case it looks awesome. After this E3 debut though I won't be keeping up with new media for the game to keep everything fresh and full of surprise when it finally drops. Doing the same with Bayonetta and NMH2.

No it just means the screens are high res, not that the game will actually run in 1080 ;)

Like Broman sauid, i hope they use the hardware available for something a bit more exciting than 1080p resolution...like a decent frame rate this time around ^^
