Video Xbox 360 PS3

Vanquish is one of those games that's quite difficult to film on the showfloor, simply because most players are terrible. But since we found someone who actually doesn't get stuck behind every single obstacles, enjoy this video!

Looks like the Lost Planet Sequel I've waited for.

Would be very good, if they bring a Demo on XboxLive.

Yeah, quite a player )).
As for the actual video - the game finally look really dynamic to me. Unlike most of the modern shooters. Which is sweet.
I hope we could try this demo on PSN and XBLA later to decide would it be the day one buy.

They can't have multiplayer, the Mikami explained why.
Gears of War can because it is "slower", Uncharted is in medium speed and Vanquish is the fastest.

Mikami
"We're making something that's specialized in single player play, so making it into multiplayer might be extremely difficult. The character animation, hit detection, and other areas would all fail, to the point that if adding multiplayer it would probably be faster to start from scratch."

It could be simply impossible to hit something at that speed, everyone would just be dashing all the time.

I understand it perfectly why it wont work.

Looks hot, remember rpeviously everyone here and me weren't overly keen on it but it's looking awsome now. I reckon it could work on mp, just limit the amount players can boost for, it'd still be pretty hectic and rather insane i'd imagine.

I'm gonna throw in a huge yeah right :P This is well suited for MP, they just don't have the time or inclination. Ever play Unreal? There are tweaks they could do for MP as well( aim-assist, slow it down if necessary, etc). It's a co-out and a shame as it would extend the life of the game immeasurably...
After watching the vid, I see nothing that would make it impossible in MP, only fun...

Maybe if they make it so to we are some generic soldier playing in Vanquish universe because for starts the weapons Sam uses he doesnt pick them up he just scan them and teh suit makes a replica of that weapon, they would have to take the boost out so it can be balanced, all playing at the same speed, its like making a new game just for teh sake of multiplayer, and in the end it will be not up to par with the story mode so i guess I can see where Mikami is coming from when he said that he wouldve need to start from scracth in order to make it.

We need some games that focus on single player, those games are teh ones that I enjoy the most,I want to play and beat what the developer made.

Why does the boost need to be removed? If everyone has boost, it is balanced. You are thinking small. It can be it's own thing, it doesn't need to play like Gears...

Because think about it,you have boost and youare recieving heavy fire you will boost away out of danger all the time making it frustating to make kills.

It could make for an interesting play mechanic. Anyway, they could boost right after you. With a little aim-assist, or whatever the game could be a fast and frenetic experience. Watching the gameplay, it doesn't seem too fast anyway when you aren't boosting. I point again to the Unreal franchise, which is much faster.
I would think you would be annoyed at a lack of a feature that almost seems like a required addition to any modern shooter. It would add to the replay value, and seems like it would be a great addition to the genre. I just think that you feel like you can't be critical of the game and still be interested in it...

Not for me it won't,I don't care at all for that feature and I think so many others aswell, and it is not a required addition I dont think every developer have to put multiplayer in order to add replay value, there is some people like me that have replay value in games without multiplayer, hell I played more that hundreds of hours in games without multiplayer.

I dont say its bad I guess having it there it doesnt harm the game on the contrary but I dont think its necessary.

Now if we talk about sales well thats another story, sad that in this days if a game dont have multi its destined to fail, there is few games that success even without it but there are extremely rare.

I think apart from the scoring system maybe there will be some kind of survival or kinda like a horde mode, with some leaderboards and stuff.

Cant wait.

I'm a really big fan of how well the game gives the impression of so much danger going on around your encounters. They really created a wonderful sense of direction in the middle of chaos.

The movements are as fluid as I'd hope, but it still looks very interesting. I really hope this game turns out to be the game most of us seem to want, this just might be another action masterpiece.

As for the MP debate, I agree MP would be great for this game but something like a co-op arena mode with increasingly harder waves of enemies would be more than enough to put a big smile on my face.
