Xbox 360

The ever great Snoopers found some time today to encode the full version of the arctic level demo from Splinter Cell: Double Agent. This really looks great!

I don't think the graphics are making as big of an impression as the first Splinter Cell did at all. The game is looking good overall though.

EDIT: The graphics look worthy of an 8, and the gameplay......about the same too actually, maybe MAYBE 9, I just don't see the much difference to Chaos Theory overall.

im actually looking forward to this splinter cell. loved the original but number 2 bored me and i therefore ignored chaos theory

this has an edge to it though with the whole double agent scenario meaning its not just more of the same

and the video looks great imo

That looks really good. The graphics are first class, and the animations are extremely fluid. Everything looks very polished.

The graphics and animations look very reminiscent of Chaos Theory. While the Double Agent thing sounds cool, the graphics aren't as impressive as a SC game should be.

im sorry you are so wrong we are in daytime sernarios and looking through the ice looked amazing

the snow levels arent the best to show off the graphics anyway, the already released town level looks great and i cant comprhend how you can say the graphics are no better than chaos theory :-|

I think if it was running in front of ya you'd see the difference. Meaning on your hdtv as opposed to through a camcorder, plus a snow level I guess there is not much they can do in terms of visual effects.

You can not say my opinion is wrong. And I'm not basing what I said on that one video above, I've seen others and they all leave me a little dissapointed. If you have played Chaos Theory, you wouldn't see a big jump in graphics, and some things like the animations are totally copy and paste from Chaos Theory.......they were absolutely amazing for that last gen game tough. And then the fact that Splinter Cell games used to set the standard in graphics last gen, again, this game dissapoints a little there.

And it seems like there's a trend going, the first one was great, the second was more of the same, the third one was great, and the fourth one is more of the same. So, unless a see something really impressive (like the doulbe agent thing really working) I'll wait for the great one, Splinter Cell 5.

Graphically it has more detail than the MGS4 trailer, what it lacks is the directorial ability of Kojima Studios.

Splinter Cell in the daytime is something new though, and I think it is throwing people off.

Yeah... I dont want splinter cell to become ghost recon in solo mode. I also didnt like what ubisoft said in some interview about making the game easier. I hate games that are noobproof.
Now graphics... Well, I dont care if it doesnt look SUPERB, but I do want it to have a lot of details, and I seems to have em like the smoke coming out of the gun, the reflections on the ice, the blinding sun, the little blood cloud under water...
I like it.

its ok making them noobproof as long there is a hard difficulty. I dont mind them being easy to control but I hate games that aint a challange.

Oh yeah, if there's any way to make it harder Im in.
BUT, PGR 3 tried to do that, and they failed. Hardcore is still attainable on first tries. Previous PGR's required a LOT of them, thats what I dont want.

Sure, it looked really nice, but MGS4 owns this hands down.
And you can't really compare a trailer to gameplay.

Some of the animations need to be more fluid and the transitions between them as well. Also I think something that would make this game look so much better is to have some kind of motion blur effect on Sam Fisher, kinda like in the Lost Planet demo. Other than that it's looking pretty good.
