Xbox 360 Xbox

Microsoft finally updated the Xbox emulation layer of the Xbox 360, allowing me to capture this almost flawless looking 720p 60 fps video of Ninja Gaiden! Power PC required and VLC recommenced, but boy does this game still look good!

But the point is that was a game from the original xbox released in 2001... that system could do awesome graphics like those, the 360 is much much more powerful, just imagine what a ninja gaiden developed for the 360 would look like

Layer... agh, what does that mean in practice, any perfomance change? Any change at all for the end user? Grasping straws because emulation of this title was so unstable and glitchy before.

Except for the videos, the game runs now perfectly on Xbox 360.

OMG, you don't know what you're missing!:)
This game just get's better and better as you progress, really, this might be the best action game ever made(IMO)!
But, as you progress, the game also get's more and more difficult!
I've been tempted to give up aswell many times, but I just couldn't resist:)
What I did was; Any time I ran into a room where those bat's were flying arround, I killed them all with a big combo, left the room, re-entered the room and repeated that many, many times:/(I've spend hours in total doing this alone!)
That way you can earn quite a bit of Kudo's, and so you can by all the stuff you want.
This was really the only way I could complete this game!:/

So, I hope they cut us "not so über skilled" gamers some slack with the next Ninja Gaiden, and make it a bit easier:D

The only part that I really disliked in Ninja Gaiden was the dishes when you had to shoot the stuff while avoiding the missiles. Really annoying.

Yeah, there was a bit off a trick in that one;)
Instead of beating up the guys where you are first, you first hit the dishes and then deal with the guys.
It worked perfectly for me anyway:D

Any chance we you could post videos from Black and Winning eleven 9 or Pro Evolution soccer 5?

Thank you very much for this!

Let me get this straight,

THE NINJA GAIDEN EMULATOR IS FINALLY FIXED?!

If that's the case, then thank you Jesus (and Microsoft)! For those that don't know, the game was previously unplayable on the 360 due to extreme slowdown during battles.

Just to explain it a bit better, for the people who might stumble on this;
As far as I can remember you open a door at some point and you enter a sort of balcony ontop of a roof.
In a distance across from you there's a big tower with satalite dishes.
At first when you enter the balcony I believe there are two enemies you have to beat up on the very balcony you are on aswell.
Once you beat them, you have to destroy the satalite dishes in the tower across from you, but you have to do that while there are some enemies shooting rockets at you from that same tower.
That however, is nearly impossible to do(in my experience).
So when you enter the balcony, shoot those satalite dishes immediatly(believe me, it's easier this way, even with the two enemies on the balcony itself bugging you).
After that, just kill the two enemies on the balcony.
It's only now that the enemies in the tower appear and start firering rockets at you.
Now, all you have to do is kill those enemies in the tower rather than killing the enemies AND trying to destroy the satalite dishes at the same time, which is very, very annoying!

This is to me, the best looking game of the past generation of consoles. Flawless animation, rock solid framerate and unparalell visuals say so.

I just played Ninja Gaiden again about a few weeks ago. I still consider the game a paradigm even now in this new generation of gaming. The game was obviously ahead of its time. And yes, arguably it is the best action game ever. Many people complain about how hard the game was, but I was appreciative of its level of difficulty. I kicked the games ass. I constantly seeked to kill soldiers over and over in the empire so I could upgrade my weapons frequently and made sure I was always fully stocked on health replenishers. As the game progressed, none of the enemies could withstand my skills or maybe I was just super skilled.

What videos? In engine cutscenes or the CGI videos? And what are the problems with those?

Thanks.
