Xbox 360

From Software released 40, really really small, images of their promising RPG [Em]Enchant Arm. It's up for an early january release in Japan, and somehow, I just really like how it looks and the colors in it.

This game looks cool, though the graphics could have been sexier.

Looks good, but not a 'turn based' fan myself.
Come on Japan, give the 360 some love.

I'm sure EM will make it stateside. Isn't it being developed by the guys behind Shadow Hearts? That series has always been picked up here.

Anyhow, I wish the screens were bigger. I'm not an RPG fan myself, but the game does look pretty. The blond kid looks like a character straight out of Virtua Fighter.

Looks cool as always, one of the early titles that I'm really looking forward to. I'm a big fan of turn based JRPGs. Looks like it has every element to make a great game, I just hope it gets released in the west.

In regards to the images, I don't get why the japanese basically always release images to suit mobile phone browsers and PDAs primarily. I know the broadband situation in japan is a bit Tarzan, but surely the "HD era" should encourage bigger-than-stamp-sized media.

Well, it looks pretty good...but in all honesty, it's kind of hard to tell with the size of these images.

Either you are blinded by the 345x190 sized images, or you are a dumbass. Go watch one of the many trailers out there for this game, or go look at some bigger screens. I assure you, there is no way in hell even a top end PC could pull this game off.

I'm getting this game for sure. Its actually one of the better looking titles on the list (in my opinion anyway). I can't wait to see what kind of graphics we'll be seeing in a couple years if it's this good already.

Edit: btw why are the screens so small?

character design is just weak in my opinion. overall looks cookie cutter jrpg. and why aren't they releasing higher resolution images? details they don't want seen??

So it's a strat-rpg? What's with the grid?

Yeah, it's kinda strategy-rpg-ish. They showed some video of the battle system at TGS or X05. Most attacks and spells have an area affect, like a straight line, or a block, or whatever. So you can group your characters together to get them all with a heal spell, but then you expose them to an area effect attack.

I think that's all the grid is for. Allies and enemies are on 2 separate grids, so you don't need to (and can't) move up next to somebody for a melee attack or anything.
