Video Xbox 360 PS3

Enslaved will ship very soon now and Namco-Bandai would not want you to forget about its release. Hence the 40 images, the two cutscenes and the fourth Behind the Game video you can find inside. The first reviews seem to be very positive, with a very solid story that keeps the player interested until the end. Less than a week from now, we will be able to see for ourselves and start this long journey to the West.

This game is full of WIN.

Trip is so cool and monkey is such a monkey.

Love the setting and the enemy robots.

The story is going to be good!

Ninja Theory FTW!

too true. i thought the crappyness was maybe due to the PS3. but i played the 360 demo and that was just as lame. maybe next time ninja theory... "third time lucky" obviously didnt work, maybe 4th time lucky?

I liked the demo, it is definitely inspired by several Naughty Dog titles (especially going by the video at the end of the demo)

but the performance was terrible on PS3 :(

I really dislike this game, found demo super boring. Doom_bringer lens of truth did a comparison of the demos, they said they were about the same.

However, i think it looks awful.

i dont recall ever saying that? my opinions are 'shock-horror', MY opinions. maybe i should put some sort of disclaimer after my posts so people dont get their knickers in a twist? i just assumed that people where smart enough to realise what i was saying was MY own feelings, not anybody elses...i guess i was wrong?

Reviews are opinions dude. They are no more right or wrong than personal opinions. You may disagree with an opinion (as I do with the IGN Lords of Shadow Review), but it still their opinion. Chillax.

PS3 runs fine with this game, 99% of the time.

But it's very easy game and uses the horrid U3 engine.

Shame

if that. enslaved is such a weird game performance wise. where most games that have issues would stutter more when you pan the camera to face a complex, open environement, enslaved sometimes manages that fine but turns into a slide-show when you look at a blank wall. it has the weirdest most inconsistant framerate drops i've ever seen. i dread to think how it handles the "hover board" open section in the game.

True opinions are opinions and for the most part thats what reviews are, unless there is some catastrophic issue... but your opinion seems to state that the game is broken... I personally didn't have any real issue with the frame rate, it chugged a bit in the cut scenes but not in the gameplay sections.. and I am also assuming that the demo was probably from a preview build that was shown at games-com or some such event. If you just don't like the way the game plays then that's fair enough...thats your opinion.. I for one am looking forward to playing this game!

Well... as been said, it's a matter of opinion. While I absolutely hate the game, others might enjoy it. To show that I'm really not trying to troll, I have 2 positive things to say about the game:

1. The story seems interesting
2. I like the setting (a post-apocalytic world that ISN'T dark and grey? Huzaa!)

game played fine on my ps3 with tv, i dont know what ruined it for you guys but it could have been that you no longer play games for fun instead you sit at your consoles nit picking every last thing in games and anylising it all, only issue i had was the colours inside the ship at the begining felt bit to rustified, but soon as i got out side ship the colour pallet was cool

Even then, the part in the ship with the hanging robots looked absolutely great!

The German game magazine M!, formerly known as MANIAC, gave Enslaved 85% and stated that they had more fun playing Enslaved than the new Castlevania, even thouh Castlevania was also a very good and fun game.

I don't know what you guys troll around (Korndog is famous for it if it's an xbox360 exclusive ) but Enslaved looks fine too...

The only thing that puts me a little off is/are the "imprecise" controls. Felt a bit strange in the demo...

Hm...and those guys are making the DMC game ?
I can't understand what Namco is thinking ! But I knowwhat they are thinking !

NT are not bad,but there games ..for me at least...have the special something missing, the magic that keeps me coming back for more, and wish for more !

But yeah, everybody has his own taste. So some like it,some not.

Will play the game, but it does not look special or Great to me.

cheers

Have you guys read the reviews that you're championing so much? The gameplay (combat and platforming) critiques have ranged from all out anemic to passable. And graphical issues have consistently been noted (ex. constant screen tearing). This game is getting lauded largely because it is incredibly well written and because there are "creative" (read as: colorful) environments.

Obviously you can be excited for whatever game you wish, but even the people who enjoyed the game have issues with the combat, platforming and length of it. It is far from trolling to point these out when even the supporters readily acknowledge this.
