I was a little dissapointed in the first game. It didn't offer that "alive world" it was claiming to give you. Never tried the expansion though, but it looked like more of the same.

Maybe this time they will get it right, though I have doubts. A 1 button combat system? Sounds like button smashing to me...

1 button combat system sounds boring and repetitive.
Also Fable 2 needs to have better characters, like special
NPCs that can give you a different ending.

I really liked Fable 2, so Fable 2 is gonna be very cool.

Hopefully they will make it as good as the first one, or even better :)

1 button combat is okay for a game like Fable because of the other buttons used for blocking, weapons, casting, expressions and items.

Anything more added to that system would complicate gameplay.

I remember Molyneux metioning something about the fights moving to music and trying to achieve something like REZ with it.

Fable 2 is going to rule. The first game offered a lovingly detailed world. If they achieve this in the sequel, I will buy it. Most RPGs don't have a unique atmosphere nowadays, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

The one-button combat system actually adds more depth. Rather than combos being decided by different button presses, it's about timing of a single button press. Eg, a tripple strike with finishing slam might require you to tap A three times and hold it for the last one.

There's meant to be loads of different combos built into each individual button. It's simple, yet more deep than most other games. Don't let it put you off.

Have you not watched any of the diarys ? it makes a lot of sence to do it this way.. plus its a RPG , what you want a one button turn based ?

i understand your concerns about the 1 button combat, but most people who have previewed the game are saying that the combat is very deep if you want it to be. It can be a button masher, but those who chose to master the controls will have some pretty amazing battles. They'll also fair a little better.

I wouldn't take anything peter say into heart. He raised too much hope with fable for me and under-delivered on the final game.

to rub it in my face more, i got the game the day of release, but he then releases a PC version superior that i have to pay to play!

I remember peter not talking much about microsoft and now that he works for microsoft, it's all praise lol

Wait till the final game to judge it, don't take anything he says seriously anymore.. The guy has the gift of the gab, he can sell shit with his talking. He's that good at selling things to you

did u ever play the PC version?
yes it had some additional content, but i wouldn't go so far as claiming it was far superior. frankly most of it added pretty little value to the game or the world. even the expanded lore was pretty lacking from a... mass lore expansion standpoint (the magnitude of expansion was pretty small)

i'm not trying to bash Fable, if you liked it, cool
what i'm getting at is if you didn't get to play the expanded content, i wouldn't worry about it, you really weren't missing that much

lmao@ Pyramid Head costume. AWESOME! Funny how that guy has to lift it up to see where he's walking.

I'm really looking forward to Fable 2. Was a huge fan of the original. In my opinion, the only people who weren't maybe drank too much hype juice before it launched. Too bad.
