GSY Live PC PS4 Xbox One

After one hour of livestream in French, we gave you 90 minutes of wandering around the open world and trying to deal with the frame drops (which are clearly fewer in the wild than in the city or the interiors). We lucky to have a bunch of curious people watching, asking us questions, so if you want to know more about Fallout 4, here's your chance without risking any story related spoilers.

Would have loved to join - but was afraid of any story related spoilers as my copy will not arrive for another 2 days.

so weird. this looks like it runs pretty well. i could happily play this i think. i'm still waiting for potential patches first though.

from what i have read most people aren't having much issues at all dealing with frame rate etc. I think in a fast paced game like racing or a shooter it hurts the experience MUCH more than a slow paced game like this. I'm getting the game for sure, I've at this point read tons and tons of great things about the game so I can't imagine that many people being wrong in thinking it's a fantastic experience.

btw the exploding cars is because the have a nuclear/fusion engine, right? (like BTTF)

Is it me or do the graphics and art style more than slightly resemble Half-Life 2 only with vastly inferior animations.

Not really sure about the art style, but the animations are still really poor. The game is a blast though. Honestly, the only thing holding the game back in my opinion are related to Bethesda's insistence on using their 15 year old game engine/not hiring decent animators.

I'm sure I will sink over a hundred hours into the game, and I am definitely not a graphics whore, but I have to say that the visuals (other than the lighting), physics, and animations are a pretty big letdown. Physics haven't seen an upgrade since FO3, and these are clearly the worst textures and geometry I have seen in a PS4 game.

Luckily the game makes up for it in atmosphere, story, and overall variety. I am loving the weapon and armor customization so far. It's just too bad they didn't go for the perfect 10 and fix the nitpicky things. After playing a ton of GTA V, I miss the stunning visuals, animations, and interactivity of the physics.
