Today was Far Cry Instincts Predator released, and UBI celebrated this by releasing this final release trailer for the game. March has been a tough month for many publishers, as there has been 2-3 games that was a must-buy for many, while 5-6 average games weren't having that great sales. Considering the quite low scores for both Blazing Angels and Far Cry, maybe a month's extra polishing would have made the games more succesful? UBI can thank the gods for GRAW.

What i want to know is why, when this is on the xbox 360, that all the pics are standard def widescreen and have horrible jpeg compression artifacts? Almost made me feel physically sick to look at them. Honestly! Not the best way to show off your game.
Is it worth buying FCIP for the 360 for the better graphics and the new campaign and the online?
I know that you have to complete Instincts (rumours has it theres a cheat to skip Instincts) and I love couple of the tracks playing in the background on Instincts so I need to rip those, but beyond the music. In my situation, is it worth it?
Blazing Angels wasn't that good, at least the demo definately pursuaded me that it wasn't a title I'd want to buy. The reviews reinforced that.
I'm sure that Ubi will do pretty well with GRAW to make up for the crappy sales of Blazing Angels.
FCI on Xbox has 87% on Gamerankings.com. UBI has really been proud about the graphics in this game, releasing comparison-trailers and techdemos. When you do a two-games-for-one-package, you probably expect to get something more out of it than 81%.
If they delayed it a couple of months, fixed the graphics (cause we know UBI Montreal can do better) and generally polished it, it could have been so much better. And what did they expect, releasing it in March? Even if it recieved 87%, it still would be no match for GRAW, Oblivion and FN3 for the sports-fans.
(Not that review score equals sale numbers, but Elder Scrolls hype > Ghost Recon hype > Far Cry hype)
About frakkin time i found another one.....
An average of 8/10 for Far Cry on Gamerankings is a low score? So everything that has been released for the 360 so far besides GRAW and Oblivion, have low scores.
UBI released too many games in March but then the sales from GRAW has been staggering... I'm still having some problems getting the Asian version of GRAW.
And I would say 80% is "quite low". 8/10 is a great score, but 80% often doesn't work out as an 8/10 on Gamerankings.
Anyway, you don't think Microsoft expected more than 80% for Perfect Dark Zero? And there has been alot of 85+% games released. But I wouldn't say that any game below 80% has been praised on the forums I've visited. Some people liked Kameo, but alot hated it. Ridge Racer 6 and King Kong were acceptable great but far from being system sellers.
The only exception is Condemned I guess, which took alot of beating because of the short story mode.
There are actually 7 games with 86%+, that's great I must say! The only thing I can say, as an übermainstream gamer, is that I've never loved any game that received ~80% or below. Gamerankings is a really great guide, at least for me.

.
... :/ k i go back to OB nvm... :(
And the same with 8.4 in stead of 8/10. Gamerankings score often doesn't give a proper translation into 10/10-grades.

Now I repeat: "Low Scores"?
a low score is 2/5, 5/10, 50%
Or are you one of those "below 9/10 = flop" kind of people?
Not AAA-great scores, but certainly not low by any metric. I think scores for games are over-inflated nowadays, so a 8/10 is a more reasonable, realistic score.
