Xbox 360 PS2

Square-Enix released this trailer for Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan, which will be released in around a month on both Xbox 360 and PS2. It's included in Final Fantasy XI 360, so 360-owners don't have to buy the expansion alone.
Update: 720p-version added.

Hey rusty, im sorry man, that grass in Oblivion is really bad. But the draw distance is awesome.

Now, about this game, mmmmm its a shame that the textures look that bad because seems like there's a lot of scenarios to battle on.

oblivion is amazing , stop critisizing it just when its about to launch, everyone is going to eat theere words when they see them for thereselves, and ff online is fun as hell if you have about 5 friends that you actually know in real life to play with in a party, i used to play for about 7 months on the PC version, great game. and graphics dont matter, there porting it to the 360 because its a great game

This expansion well own..form what S-E devs have said and done..and Blue mage being added, and 2 more jobs(S-E said 4 new jobs but they must of changed their minds) and tons more to do..I love it and cant wait for it..

Yeah, I agree. Games like Chess are for morons like Kasparov. Games like Tag are a real thinking man's game.

...as for the grass in oblivion, it's better than grass *textures* on the ground. That's the videogame equivalent of astroturf.

It isn't out yet....demo maybe?
Anyways, I'm a retired veteran from this game (several levle 75s) and this game is one HUGE time sink. Truly for the hardcore only.
I don't know what these new changes will bring but the state that the game is in right now, you can't log on for an hour or so and get something accomplished. You'll always need a group to get almost anything worth mentioning done.

I heard that Square is working on an Xbox 360 exclusive MMORPG based on the tech demo shown at e3 2005. But I do agree with Rustykaks. Final Fantasy should've died long ago.

Edit: Does anyone know if Square will force you sign up with PlayOnline when you purchase FFXI for 360?

Yes the beta disc/server is still up. It will be open till pretty close to launch.

Also the characters from the beta will transfer to full version of the game:

I hope Square Enix don't stop developing for the 360 and claim that their titles have poor sales based on FFXI. And yes i believe they'll force you to sign up with PlayOnline, I think you'll be able to play with PCs and PS2 FFXI gamers. I'd prefer a Final Fantasy spinoff than FFXI, say Final Fantasy Tactics, heck even Tobal No.2 for the 360.

Because Microsoft is making their job easier and delivering on the xna they promised. Expect square enix to announce that the new mmorpg they are working on is coming to the 360 and at E3 that the next gen dragon quest and final fantasy will both be coming to the 360 :)

Of course they are coming to the 360 as well though.

Was this upconverted or did you get it from somewhere?

Also don't dare try to insult oblivion's grass people will be eating their words come time that game releases and the graphics are amazing.

I'm fed up with all this bull about graphics. Simple fact is they dont make a game alone. Graphics and GAMEPLAY do. Its a personal opinion. look back over the last decade or so.. the greatest games have had a mixture of both. MGS, ICO, HALO,Zelda, GOLDENEYE. A lot of games fall into the next category of great graphics/pretty decent and crap gameplay especially next-gen games FIFA 360, PDZ, a large majority of EA games along with half the catalogue of ps2,xbox. No-one can argue crap graphics - great gameplay FF7-9, PES, Tetris!!!, GTA etc. Therefore the conclusion is that no one can judge a game solely based on graphics. Yes the game may be better if the graphics are better but dont write off everygame that doesnt have AA ( whatever that means) or soft shadows or whatever other sh1t. Play the game first if its rubbish then fine comeback let us all know! Save us some cash.

Anyway had to get that rant out!! For me FF is a great series although lately they have went off the rails a little since 10. As well as that the impressions from the demo werent great. Ok, this is the thing. I did not set the standards for what you call next gen, and neither did all the people and me that whine about graphics. It was the marketing guys from both MS and Sony that talked crap about how we could kiss jaggies goodbye and how awesome everything would look so I should spend 400 bucks on MS' console and the same or more on the PS3.
SO, when I see this crap on the market I wonder, how the hell does it come out if its what could have been on the xbox?, why should I support this lack of polishment if I was told I was going to see and feel everything better?
