Asian Ruliweb put up this 10 minutes video of Final Fantasy XI beta. Even though it's supposed to look just like the PS2-version (with the same sloppy framerate), I'm still looking forward to it. Be ready to delete some demos though, as the game takes 5 GB to install. The beta is supposed to be released here in the beginning of january.

That was awful. This is not the way to hype a video, but: the draw distance is fantasticly crappy. I can understand they can't show players due to bandwith limits, but it's amazing to see how objects and walls shows up just a couple of feet away. This is bad Xbox 1 graphics - god, I'm so dissapointed.

Will test the demo though, at least it's free.

the japanese people are more hyped about the PS2 still compare to the 360 so microsoft maybe told square to make awful graphic like PS2 so japanese people might misstaken it from a PS2 game.

Microsoft have really let Square bend them over and fuck them up the ass with this mess, I knew it as soon as they said PlayOnline was being used instead of Live.

I just hope it means Square support the 360 with new games aswell.

Square is taking the stance with the 360 capcom is with the original xbox, by handing us the raggedy chewed bones that their dogs got tired of.

This game looks alright since square is actually doing something with the xbox and xbox360 hardware, but they could made look better

Every time I see that fighting interface I puke, Yeah... it was OK at its time, I guess it was that way because of limits and constrains on the coding of the games, so it was easier to just prerecord fights and make a "select case" kindda sorta interface, But COMMON, give me some control now............

You'll waste even more than that if you pick this game up. As an ex-player who had several level 75 jobs I can say that this game sucks aways so much of your time it sickening.

My sentiments exactly. This game will be a waste of microsofts time and whoever buys this for thier "next gen" system. I mean, its a direct port off the PS2. No graphical upgrades what so ever. This was extremly lazy by square soft/enix or what ever the hell they call themselves.

5gbs? um why does anyone care? It's on a disc and it takes up NO space on your 360... I could be 100gigs and you could still hold all the music the normal HD can hold.

I think that if MMO's are going to take up that much space on the hard drive then it will be imminent that a hard drive upgrade will happen, just as long as we don't have to pay $200 for a 40 or 60 gig, that'd be outrageous.

the 5gbs that everyone is talking about is what is taken up on the 360 harddrive by this game. their not talking about the size of the game on cd.

Whatever happened to True Fantasy Live for the Xbox, I thought it was making a return to the Xbox360, as that looked like proper MMORPG. Not this mess here

It wasnt that bad, wasnt good.. just a basic japanese grind game, but all their mmo games are like this.

It isnt a step in the wrong direction.. I just hope we dont see any companys copying this stuff..

World of Warcraft on Xbox 360 would be pretty cool, that was a O.K game.

Hopefully Microsofts Vanguard will show people a real console mmo.
