Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has finally been released on consoles, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, and here are the first 10 minutes from the latter version. The game is more or less based around multiplayer, but here you can see how the single-player mode works.
The way I see it, the game is a steady mix of the Battlefield series and the Quake games. The maps are large and the gameplay is really fast-paced. The kind of campaign the game use often turn people away - how you more or less fight "simple" bots without any objectives that affect the story. I enjoyed this in the Battlefield games though, and to me the gameplay is fun as long as the game is designed in a good way.
Quake Wars has a special twist though, as you need to respawn in new classes for each objective to finish the mission. For example, you will see below that I started out as an Engineer to repair the vehicle, while I later had to change so I could plant explosives or hack the defense shield.
I haven't been able to play the game for too long, so I can't say much about how good it is. The graphics are above average, the controls work and the gameplay feels pretty solid. Below you will find a video of the first mission from the single-player mode. Note that I cut out the loading time as it would just be a space waster.

The Slipgate level is fantastic.
I have to agree with Aphex187. When it was first presented, I thought it would become one of the most awaited games on the Xbox, but now, this game looks like something that could have been a mod for Quake 3 five years ago. It's awful.
I found the pc version to be extremely boring though so I`m opting out of getting any console version of this. Instead, my money is being saved for the best pc/console game to hit this year.......Left 4 Dead :0)
