First look at Wasteland 2

Inxile Entertainment and development director Chris Keenan give us a first look at Wasteland 2 with this commented gameplay video that show off among other things: combat system, HUD, skill system, and keyword dialog system. The Kickstarter-funded game "has an anticipated release date of October 2013".

All of the game-play footage was captured directly from Unity. With the exception of the not implemented yet Mini Map and some placeholder sounds and portraits, this demo shows you what you can expect to see in Wasteland 2.

very impressed cannot wait to play this, anyone know if the maps are randomly generated? is this sandbox style game?

Is there a way to get Wasteland digitally? I pledged $100 just because of the Fallout 1/2 heritage :P, but never played Wasteland. No way to buy it physically here in UK either.

the art, writting and VA is top notch. the faction premise is still silly as it was in good fun as a product of its time.

To me the environment and story seems like the largest detriment. Never played the original and it just looks kinda meh to me. Gameplay looks top notch though. Really like the old school turn based strategy.

Cant wait for this. Something like Fallout:Tactics. Love it. I wanted to give new Jagged Alliance a chance, but after destroying my saves without any reason, after many hours of playing, I wiped that mess out of me harddrive.
