Sega just sent us these first three images from the Xbox 360 version of Virtua Fighter 5. We still do not know exactly what will be changed compared to the PS3 version, but it looks like the Quest mode will be enhanced, and certainly more.
Sega apparently said that aliasing will be fixed, and a qualified guess is that they doing something about the profile system in the PS3 version. That's been taking some major - justified, I might add - flak.

Looks great (as it has always) and I look forward to playing the 360 version. As a huge fan of the series, I'm sorta ashamed to say that I haven't really put much time into the PS3 version of the game.. and it was the main reason I wanted to own a PS3 in the first place.
Still.. the improvements in this version are a MUST. Stupid to wait, I guess.. Just giving my 360 centric friends a chance to start on a level playing field with me before I destroy them :)

Supposedly there is new AI data.. which is a way bigger deal to me than the smoother edges. Hopefully they do an arcade stick for this game as well. I expect as much. I already have the DOA4 stick, but having another is a must for me.
Profile system needs fixing most of all in my opinion. The fact that you couldn't put your profile on a mem card and go to gatherings to have your wins/losses recorded with the PS3 version is pretty insulting.
While it does look like the XBOX 360 has better aliasing based on the comparison shots, it seems to be lacking some textures, color depth and sharpness.
Just look at the roof tiling in the comparison shot.

I noticed that too, but I would say it looks more like a tiling error than anything else. Especially considering everything else is exacltly of the same quality. Anyway, it certainly looks great on xbox too. Luckily us gamers now dont have to chose which system to get (if thats still an issue) to play a great game like VF5.
why isnt there a fighting game with REALISTIC looking characters? all look like plastic action figures (shiny). maybe it`s intended, but why have a next gen system and not USE it? i dont get it... and i`m not talking 100% photo realism, just MORE realistic than the OLD stuff.

vitua fighter! are sega doing this in-house?they were making lots of excusees before they started the 360 version stating how the arctitechture of the arcade was really different to it (originally they said they were not going to do it for that reason). looksa okay so far though.(lower poly count though? 360 should do arcade perfect with its eyes close).

If you want realism, learn a real martial art and go to a competition. I don't see what would be even remotely fun about a game that simulates real fighting. All the characters would be bland, there's be no cool combos or juggles, just ugliness.

Please don't bring DoA into this. No matter how good the textures are, you can't polish a turd.
If that's your true sentiment you're freaking stupid. I didn't insult VF as a game once, I just noticed something that should be improved with the asthetics seeing as a game that was practically a launch title looks better than it in at least some respects.
Now why is DoA4 a turd? I'm guessing it's because you have no idea how it and any fighter works, in fact if anyone calls DoA3/4, Tekken or VF turds they're just being ignorant.
