Looks better then Burnout 5. And from the teaser I saw it looks so damn mediocre.

Loved the first game on the xbox. The car deformation was a bar above everything else at the time. It was so fun watching your car turn into a box by the end of the race. And how your driver flew out the window with serious crashes. Oh and don't get me started on the mini games!

Cheers scubetus, that looks brilliant!

This message is in "Boulet Time" (TM), If you still *really* want to see it, click here
EA take note:
If you are trying to sell a racing game with crashes in it, please make sure that when you release a video it actually shows crashes.

Flatout:UC looks awesome and I would be totally fine if it sells 10x more copies than Burnout.

I don't get it.

I love Flatout and I love Flatout 2. I love Burnout (to an extent these days, but 2 was amazing) and I love Full Auto.

But crashes? Really? What's so exciting about crashes? The fact that they look good I suppose is... good.. But when you're playing you're supposed to AVOID crashes. The thing some people seem the MOST excited about is the one thing you NEVER WANT TO DO. Hence, when you're getting really good at it you'll never see them! That's when the game gets fun, and the crashes go away.

So why, I wonder, and will never ever understand.

Well, the crashes and destructions were always a great part in the Flatout experience.

In Flatout 1 (and I really like this game) it was however dangerous to play in that way, when you do that you really risk the result of the race.

But in Flatout 2 they fixed some things, physics was less intransigent (wich, at the beginning, bugging me but with the time I accept their choice and understand, the game was more assumed now, not a "you can destroy everything but don't do that too much or you will lose" experience), the game a little more arcadey. With these modifications, you can play more with the destructible elements and try to crash the others cars.

By doing that, you gain nitro et I think the game was more funny to play like that.

So, I like the modifications in FOUC (a remake of Flatout 2, in the most part, the gameplay will remain the same): better graphics (who doesn't like eyes-candy? ;=), 12 cars during race vs 8, an increased number of destructible elements, etc

I think it's the best way to make the game more fun, more crazy, more spectacular!

So crashes aren't important in a game with a destruction derby mode -- or better yet a "Crash mode"? You crazy, Simon. If you want a good racing game sans collisions, there are plenty out there.. but crashes are a part of both games.
