Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 may have come out a month ago exactly, it hasn't managed to solve all the launch issues quite yet. Two weeks ago, when we recorded the following video, we were able to play immediately, so it was a good start, but then we ran into some bugs while playing: environment glitches and low frame rates over Los Angeles in a Photograph mission, the disappearance of our score and sections passed in a low flight mission and some oddities with the trees to name but a few. Our fiber connection may not be the fastest out there but it's still solid (1 Gbits) so it was a shame. Today, we tried to play the game again but got stuck on the initial loading screen three times and then the game froze while we were flying over Melbourne, that also had some problems with some of the trees. Our last attempt went well though, no weird glitches or anything and we were able to reach the main screen rapidly. Aside from those issues, this second episode developed by Asobo is without a doubt a nice improvement over the first, with more content, more game modes and impressive visuals, even on console.
