The demo of Forza 2 is available since a few hours now and of course I had to do at least one video to show what you guys missed due to the video interdiction with the preview build. Imagine the same thing, but in a Porsche 962 on the Nürburgring... Anyway, the 720p version runs at 59.94 fps and requires quite a beast of PC to play correctly, or a 360 connected via an ethernet cable.

Same here. Shame I can't play the demo. Just hope I'll get a new one untill Halo 3 Beta...

Edit: lol, the 720p file is a diashow for me. Well at least I hear some nice sounds... ^^

The only thing wrong with the demo is that it doesn't let you do any of the stuff that makes Forza so special (online, customization, etc). I could also say that the replays are HORRIBLE, but that's to be expected from Forza. The gameplay itself is flawless. Graphics are great. The sound blew me away especially (don't complain until you hear it with 5.1!). Will the demo hold me over til May 29 though? Doubt it.

I've played the demo and the track and environment graphics are good but the cars need more detail. Way to many jaggies on the cars.

The cars have so much bad parts in the modeling :\. But that's what we get with a game with 315 cars..

i really hope thats true because the engine from the f430 doesn't sound anything like that in real life. it's much more ferocious tbh.

yeah, i was wondering about the shape of the SLR, there's a luxury hotel not far away from where i live and so i have the luck to see a lot of exotics throughout the year and these cars always look better in RL than they do on pictures but that forza model... meh

Lol same here. My 3rd 360 died the day of the spring update now i miss the forza 2 demo. Looks like my luck is in ;)

For everyone who's xbox has died i feel yr pain. My mate just got the spring update and the demo and the second he turned it on 3 red lights of doom, so i threw my hard drive in and played forza on his 50" 1080i :P good times.

The difference in handling between the various cars is very noticeable, graphics are OK but i prefer 60fps than 30 with better graphics

i really enjoy the demo, very nice handling with the wheel :)

it might not have the uber graphics, but one isn't paying much attention to it when driving and concentrating on the track ahead

Blim, could you answer one thing for me, is the build you have better than the demo?

A few niggles really let the demo down I feel. No neutral gear in manual mode. Load screens when changing cars in replay mode. custom sountracks play along with menu music when at the start race submenu. OTT glowing brake discs, (they go red at the start of the race into the first corner !!) Your engine sound in the replay is virtually muted compared to all the other cars engine sounds around you. The game pauses slightly when you select another colour for the car in the car selection screen.

Sorry, just wanted this clarified, game physics however save it, it'll be a hoot online.

I think it`s not so much fun to drive in this game without a wheel! The cars handling feels pretty slow and it`s just to hard without a turtorial for someone like me who`s last encounter with a simulation was Gran Tourismo 2...

Do you want to rev up for burnouts etc? It's done like GT on the PS2. Pop it into first, hold the foot brake on, rev the car freely, disengage the footbrake = burnout.

I don't know if you can regulate the foot brake like this to stop the car moving, I have only done rolling burnouts so far.
