Today, the premier North American sports car racing series and the highest rated racing video game franchise of this generation announced a two-year partnership that will bring the thrill of the automotive world to fans everywhere, whether in-game or at the track. Turn 10 Studios, creators of the best-rated “Forza Motorsport” video game franchise, and the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón (ALMS), will partner across a range of events and content celebrating the famed racing series as well as the launch of “Forza Motorsport 4” on Oct. 11, exclusively on Xbox 360.

As the official racing game partner of the American Le Mans Series, “Forza Motorsport 4” will provide the “Forza Motorsport” community with unrivaled access to one of the top professional racing series, including realistic in-game tracks and cars. Additionally fans of the American Le Mans Series will have the opportunity to test drive “Forza Motorsport 4” at select race events before it launches in October.

“Our partnership with ALMS signifies the joining of two great automotive forces,” said Alan Hartman, Studio Manager of Turn 10 Studios. “We’re pushing the limits in ‘Forza Motorsport 4’ and taking peoples’ love of cars to a new level. Xbox and “Forza Motorsport 4” will without a doubt be the best place to enjoy the iconic American Le Mans Series if you aren’t at the track racing yourself.”

* The partnership introduces more ways than ever for racing fans to get into the automotive entertainment they love, including: Immersive community activities and events hosted by the America Le Mans Series and “Forza Motorsport 4”
* The most stunningly realistic racing circuits and cars that fans know and love from the ALMS, including Sebring, Road Atlanta, Road America, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and 26 ALMS cars
* Tune in! Catch the racing action live by tuning in to all of the American Le Mans Series race broadcasts via ESPN3 on Xbox LIVE

“The American Le Mans Series is about delivering the ultimate sports car racing experience for race fans and automotive enthusiasts around the world,” American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón President and CEO Scott Atherton said. “Partnering with Turn 10 Studios and naming ‘Forza Motorsport 4’ as our official racing game partner unites our mutual passion for racing and provides our loyal fans even more ways to experience the American Le Mans Series. I don’t know of any other racing series that gives its fans the opportunity to both watch live racing and race the cars and tracks themselves on the same gaming console.”

bullshots are abit too shiny. Makes them look like toys. Put some real screen shots out.. this game doesnt need to survive on bull

True. True.

Even though it has been just over a decade, Test Drive: LeMans (Dreamast) is still one of my favorite racing games of all time. It's really a shame that Melbourne House got sold off, and the team disbanded. Those guys really knew how to make a quality racer. Definitely a class outfit they were.

So long as it still has Forza 3's rock solid 60fps, I can forgive the use of motion blur.

The ONLY reason these could be considered Bullshots is because they're taken from a PC with too high AA. Other than that- these are the shots from the game FM4. How do I know? Because FM3 looked exactly like the 'bullshots' they released except for the resolution (even with HDMI on a 1080p tv). the textures were the same, the lighting, the whatever else. So there's NO reason to piss these to the side like PR nonsense with a proven track record given to us by Turn 10.

And as far as the Motion Blur, it's a simple filter you can turn off when taking the shot in the game- totally optional- just like FM2 and FM3.

I don't get why most racing games are presented with bullshots. We all know it won't look like that.
They have spent time building an ingame photomode for use by eveyone, so they may aswell use it to. The funny thing is that this game actually looks far more impressive in motion.

Because we've all seen games with REAL nonsense shots that in the end, don't look a THING like the bullshit PR stuff. With Forza- the game not only looks amazing but the added filters they put into the Photo Mode make it look pretty much exactly like the shots featured here. The only difference is the resolution. As that's the ONLY difference- it's worth giving them credit over other games out there that strictly pump out images that you can never even get close to reproducing at home with the finished product. With FM- you can get really close to the stuff you see here!

Yep, and the tracks as well. Don't know what this partnership will bring us players. I doubt it'll be anything worthwhile.

How about some non-American tracks, I'm kinda bored of those tracks. I'd like to see some of the F1 tracks, fuck the Alps and fictional tracks for all I care.

Lighting in these shots look pretty cartoony, gives off a F3 vibe. Definitely not as impressive as the alps track.

There's something off with these shots, the level of detail in shot 5 is specially disappointing. These shots show a lot of things wrong that we hadn't seen before, and a few worrying ones too.

car can't reflect the light like this. it's a lightning model problem or they need HDR. BMW is almost white! they definitely need HDR. it's upgraded FM3, but still cartoony FM.

actually i dont see any of this so called cartoony graphics or and motion blur, the shots are not bullshots but in game photo mode shots, just like in GT5 when in gameplay mode the res is lower and in photo mode the res is upped, it was exactly the same for forza 2 and 3, all screen shots were from photo mode.

having seen actuall ingame footage which if you look for SRTmedia or simracedaily on youtube youll see the vista mode taken directly from the 360 not some poor footage recorded from a TV at E3 it looks simply stunning, all i can think of is just how much more graphics wise can they get out of the 360.

Is this game just a slight graphical upgrade? All the tracks mentioned in this article are already in Forza 3. Forza 3 remake is not enough to get me excited. Prototype and highly modified cars are something I would like to see less, not more.

freeswag - hear, hear. The Dreamcast Le-mans game was really really good. Played that to death and would love to see a new version, which for reasons you mention is quite unlikely...

People who can't see that the graphics engine is vastly improved need to get their eyes checked.. or at least go and look how poor the lighting was in FM3 and before. This is a major upgrade in the graphics department. FM4 graphics might not wipe the floor with GT5, but it's getting up there.

The first shots look amazing, while the last two screenshots indeed does have a bit toony feel to them, which even visible in parts of the Alpes direct feed gameplay videos. Still looks miles better than FM3.

The FM4 release date can't come soon enough.

Maybe if this game had 800 PS2 cars and 28 versions of the Nissan Skyline people would be happy?

i still dont get how people consider the graphic's to be poorer than GT5, seriously GT5's graphics were not that impressive not least for environments just cars, yes 200 cars were highly detailed but the other 833 were not, "may not wipe the floor" all the cars in forza are highly detailed did you forget about that !.

whats everyone going to say "the reviewers need their eyes testing" why cant some people accept forza is as good as GT and get over them selfs.

It just seems like a load of fuss made out of a partnership that isn't even bringing any new content.
