I have no clue how touched up all of that footage is, but for the xbox360, this is the only game (to come this year) that impresses me graphically.

I dont own a PS3 so I have not watched much videos of PS3 games.
I just wanted to avoid noobuncharted3thebombish posts, so I refered only on xbox titles...

If I am not mistaken, those cars are non autoVista cars, and man its just wow.
(And I know they are bullshots)

P.S. What a job those lucky bastards have...

We have seen tons of gameplay already we know how good the graphics are.

I dont think the cars are GT5 premium quality but they make the 800odd GT5 cars look very silly and the tracks will be far superior looking as well (F3 tracks look much better than GT5 tracks)

I'll wait untill the game is released to cast judgement. When Forza 3 was anounced at E3 they said it would be not only the best looking racing game but the best looking console game and the footage plus screens had me slightly convinced. It came out and nothing could've been further from the truth, Shift and DiRT2 were both superior games so to was GT5P, and it left me a rather disapointed customer. A new Forza and the same old promises surface, lets hope that this time what they show is what they have.

Unless all the demos that people have seen/played were actually running on more advanced hardware and MS were just pretending that they were running on the Xbox 360 then the graphics in the finished game really will be as good as the footage and screens here.

The location is really good. NFS games used to have exotic places now days it is all racing tracks.

There are gameplay footage already of this track:

Problem with Gears 3 is, I have the feeling that I've allready seen those gfx with a bit less shinyshine in Gears 2.

Gears 2 really blew me out of the socks when it was new...

But Forza really seems to be setting a new bar for the racing-genre at quite some height (at least for some aspects)!

never under estimate the importance of lighting. GT5 nails it and it adds so much. I'm glad forza's pushing a bigger focus on it this time round..theres no real excuse, or reason, why this shouldnt be the prettiest racer to hit this gen.

I can do without seeing locked dlc cars in the menu though this time round. Cut that bullshit out.

i love the new vista mode where you really can examine all the details of the cars.. atleast the cars that are in the autovista mode.

Forza 4 is the only Xbox360 game I look forward to this year.. atleast until now.

Damn, that is pretty! The only problem is, I would probably end up crashing a lot while I am admiring the scenery and not watching the road! I personally got sick of GT5 fairly quick, I kind of wish my 360's hadn't all died now.

nope. and you dont need kinect to use the autovista mode. i works with controller only also..

however, if I were to buy kinect for jus one title Forza4 would be it. I've only played a handfull of Kinect titles (the Pet game, dance whatever and the river rafting crap game) and I can live without...

Isn't this the ONLY 360 game coming out this year besides Gears? Everything else is multi as far as I'm aware.

But yeah those cars are shopped harder than any cover girl

Gears 3 looks amazing, it just that it suffers from Gears 2 looking so damn good even now, bit like UC2 looking so good that UC3 does not look like much of a jum. But yeah F4 looks insane!

Conveniently omitting Halo Anniversary and Otomedius Excellent (from what I can remember off the top of my head) as well as Kinect & XBLA exclusives as if games make themselves.

Getting that small wireless wheel for this. No matter how hard i try to master analog controls in car games, i still have to rely on the odd tapperty tap method that digital control requires. I love watching people play car games using analog and i imagine how daft they would look if they also drove their real car by jerking the steering wheel repeated in one direction like this. Same with flying games or fps, analog here may as well be a bloody Competition pro joystick for all the jerking

The N64 wasn't perhaps the most liked of pads- i liked it- but the analog was and still is by far the best analog we had.It got often gritty and slippy, but if you took care of that, then it has near perfect sensitivity- Goldeneye and F-zero demonstrate that well. And not to start something here but the Duelshock controller has the worst analog of any controller out there in terms of it's analog response

Even the really cool Gamecube pad that Nintendo followed up with wasn't as good regards to sensitivity and also a slight biting aspect that all analogs have now including the mighty 360 pad

Ah well you adjust. This new and very small wireless wheel is just the thing iv'e wanted for a while, given i like steering wheels but can't be doing with having one taking up too much room. Just put it in the drawer when done

This Forza does seem to be what i imagined the first sequel to look like so i'm a fair bit more impressed this time. It's true lighting does make the biggest difference, i just hope it still contains a working hdr like Forza3 and Halo3- hdr is so subtle but it often takes my breath away when in certain areas of Halo3

I actually thought Gears2 graphics couldn't be topped this gen in terms of their raw texture and architecture quality, but Gears3 tech at least is fairly dazzling. This and Forza hopefully to wow me then

Unfourtantly that's where it ends, the animation is sub par in my opinion you can see where they sacrificed for the visual quality, in my eyes this is why uncharted and ass creed look visually better in motion.
That latest trailer (horde 2.0 with the shit music) shows this of most, when you see them all doing there "chase cam" animation is toss.. but the visuals are fantastic (specially in screens) but better animation makes the world of difference when playing a game.
