Turn 10 and Microsoft has released screenshots of the next Forza Motorsport 4 DLC Pack, the January Jalopnik Pack. It will be available on Tuesday, January 3 and will cost 560 MS Points.

The lighting in Forza 4 is incredible especially in the alps no other racing game has better lighting.

the trade-off some do for real 60fps and no tearing.

Yeah i do wonder what Forza 4 would of looked like if they had went down to 30-50 FPS with tearing, however i im glad they locked it at 60 with no tearing.

Yeah it's not even about that, for a sim it has to be locked at 60fps, if you dont you lose slight control. No PC sim would ever dare to be 30-40 fps and thats why PC sims dont have GT5 graphic and why Forza 4 doesnt have GT5's LOD.

Not being a huge car nut I haven't heard of it up until now, but I can see why it's popular enough to have a Forza pack named after it.

Compromising is part of game development, you compromise for time and performance. Without a doubt I'm sure if Turn 10 could, they would have had weather and night racing and more new tracks. However it takes time to develop and in order to get the game where it is now they had to compromise on other things.

This doesn't mean the series will never see them, it just means that we will have to wait to see them if they are in fact in the next game. Now features like 60 fps could not be compromised, that is why the game features LoD between hot lap and online, single player racing.

You can't hate on a game developer for making compromises if you did, you would have to hate them all. Considering your username I'm guessing you're arguing for Gran Turismo?

Well GT makes Forza look perfect when it comes to compromises, the amount of time they had to develop in comparison to the final product is pretty embarrassing.
