The Forza Horizon 2 demo has been available for Xbox One owners for a few hours now and we did our best not to keep you guys waiting. Here are a few 1080p/30fps videos of Microsoft's upcoming first party title. We hope you'll enjoy them - in spite of the careless and brutal driving.

The demo is fantastic. I already knew this was going to be racer of the year for me but i was still unprepared for how well it looks and plays on my own console instead of getting impressions from videos online. Off-roading is a blast!!! The weather effects are impressive as is the sense of speed but the highlight was racing the stunt jets in the Lambo!! Wow did that get the adrenalin pumping!! Soundtrack adds massively to the immersion and really does create that festival feel!! PG have pulled out all the stops on this. I cannot wait for launch day :)

After just playing the demo of all things...this is no doubt 2014's racer of the year. Everything from the visuals, to the immersion, to the variety, to the gameplay is top notch. Fun and smiles is all you think about while playing it...then you think..."this is only the demo"

First race? The first race I did is the one that's up through the vineyard. You'll have to be patient for the rest, encoding 1080p vids takes a while.

Yeah and since Driveclub is not open world and comparing both games technically makes no sense, so why not say that any Pixar movie looks much better than Driveclub?

Come on guys, stop the stupid comparisons, it's childish at best. I don't want to see anything Driveclub related in this thread. Thanks in advance.

I am now finally jealous of Forza (GT fan here). Not worth the price of an Xbox One, but if I owned one I would get this game ASAP.

I knew the game was going to be good but fucking hell the demo is outstanding, Once you put the steering to sim and take all aids off it really destroys any arcade physics we have seen before... So much fun! PG have outdone themselves.

I am playing racing games since 1992 Mario Kart, Ridge Racer, Need for Speed, Gran Turismo 1, Colin McRae Rally, ... and so on, but this is the best racing game i ever played! So fun, great Soundtrack, Gameplay, Graphics, Open World, ...

If you are Raching Game Fan, just try the Demo, from the beginning to the end! If you ever had fun with any arcade Racing Game, THIS IS FOR YOU!

The first 100% must have next gen. game IMO!

Well, too bad I'm not gonna be able to play this as I've a PS4. Drive Club's graphics looks better than this but from the videos, I get the feeling that this game has "soul". The environment looks fantastic. I live in Turkey, we've a summer house in Bodrum and the Aegean shores of Turkey looks exactly the same! Oil trees, yellowish horizon, fields, small towns. They've managed to capture the Mediterranean atmosphere... I wish I have this game and wander around in freeroam mode...

Everytime I've seen Driveclub running before my own eyes it's looked pretty crummy. It might look a BIT better in trailers but those haven't exactly been honest for Driveclub.

Downloading "Arrival" video as I type this. I remember really enjoying the first Horizon quite a bit. Really enjoyed the barn finds and most of the races and the environments were beautiful. BUT, I always found myself distracted by the now signature "offness" of forza's vehicle models. I don't know what it is there's just something about the vehicles in all of the previous forza games where they seem to stick out from the environment like a bad photoshop job. Dunno if it's weird lighting techniques or slightly off modeling but they always made my uncanny radar go off like crazy. Here's GENUINE hoping that this game solves that issue at least to a degree. Will see in a few seconds.
