Video Xbox 360

If you are like me a big fan of the Project Gotham Racing series, take a look at the video I've just uploaded. Even though it's just one race among many very different others, I have to admit this one looks and plays strikingly similarly. I've been playing Forza Horizon all over the week-end, and I absolutely love this game and can't recommend it enough.
This video is also a test of our new direct to mp4 encoding system. Within a few days we are going to abandon all new wmv videos and only post mp4 files, with quite a nice quality gain in my opinion. Let us know what you think!

Best racing game in months, thats for sure.

Will 60fps videos still display at 60fps in the streaming?

I'm not sure if you know, but Playground Games (those are the actual developers of Forza Horizon, not Turn 10) consists out of people that used to work at Bizarre Creation and Codemasters. So it makes a lot of sense that you're getting a PGR vibe.

IMO this game is PGR5 in all but name. They just decided to use the Forza name for increased brand awareness.

Nothing against WMV, but MP4 is superior, and already what I always use. So good move from Gamersyde.

Runs on the same graphics engine, physics engine and tries to stick with the level of authenticity expect from a Forza game so no it's not just Forza in name. If what you say is true you would know that PGR sold much more than Forza Motorsport does so by your logic they would've called it PGR to sell more not Forza Motorsport.

I cannot believe this hardware is more than 7 years old, looks so amazing (though I'd also would like new consoles by now) ... too bad since Blur I don't play racers that often anymore ... it was such a fantastic game :((((

You didnt play the demo did you? The physics are Forza through n through. The only reason why it might feel like PGR is the shift towards more arcade than sim but of course remaining somewhere in the middle maybe slightly more towards cade.

It's nice to see that there are other people who also have so much love for the PGR series.

Not a fan of these sorta simulation, sorta arcadey games. If it's not hardcore like GT or wacky like Crazy Taxi it's just not worth my time.

Hmm I would say much better than Forza4. Cars would be much less but nice locations.

The video has only motion every second frame, so its 30fps, is that intended? I don't know if Forza renders at 60. Otherwise, the quality looks great.

I heard it runs at 5 fps, can anyone confirm?

I wonder if this the first example of MS buying up talent to produce quality games. Were they responsible for this array of people getting together?

PGR is still the hallmark of finding the perfect balance b/w arcade and sim. This might be the first Forza game I buy since the original on og xbox.
