I love the way this game looks. The use of colors is great and the graphics are nice and clean.

Best looking game at E3 imo, not just graphically but in terms of animation and design as well.

I would love to see some other levels though, does it all take place within this city?

This is just one planet level. There are a screenshots of another planet level, you can also see a few glimpses of it in a video, but that's about it. The full game should have lots of other levels, plenty of surprises and graphical goodness left.

pretty, photoshopped tho hance the high level of FSAA, looks better moving than stills, cause stills always show the less detailed modelling etc

bullshots FTW!

why does everyone get so hard over ratchet and clank. It's a very mediocre and linear game experience...

Looks nice. But I still cannot grasp the fact that animation artists (in general) seem to be unable to make perfect round shapes, or circles when it comes to polygons.
Sure there's a technique that can do that these days??!

As long as animators are unable to create perfect rounded shapes and circles in games, It will never be 'pixar quality'. Damn shame

Just because a game is linear it does not necceseraly make it bad.
Mario will undoubtably be the best platform game this year, however R&C is all about the weapons, action and humor.

Cause more than 50% of all console games these days are shooters. It's actually quite refreshing to see a platform game again with superb colorful graphics. IMO almost all "next-gen" games (especially shooters) look dull and the same..

With a kind it is not bad, but it is necessary to get accustomed as suddenly come up structures of too low sanction and other mess of a curve play station 3

Mediocre. Yeah, that must be why the previous games did so badly ...

Metacritic scores:

Ratchet & Clank (2002) : 88
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (2003) : 90
Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal (2004) : 91
Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked (2005) : 81

With the exception of R&C: Deadlocked which was more like an online FSP, all the other games had *great* scores. Ratchet & Clank Future is a return to the original style.

considering the majority of reviews out there are by toss like PSM and IGN, iwouldnt give much credit to an averaging-out system

sorry, i just think R&C is over rated platforming mediocrity

It's not even a platform game, it's more of a shooter. I don't like it either. But I know know some people who genuinely love the series and aren't Sony fanboys, so I guess it has some appeal to some people.

@ andromeda )

Why do you always seem to forget the "in my opinion" ? You know ,what you say is not a rule for everyone and in fact the majority of people seem to be very pleased with R&C games after playing them.

@ topic )

Very good pics of the newest trailer , which shows some awesome cutscenes.
