EDIT. Its fixed now. Anyway it looks very CG lol Cant say more then that.
Love the concept and ideas for the game. As long as the physics and controls are good, I'm sold. I wonder if it's still going to make it out in the Spring or if it'll get pushed back to the Fall.
I already have Motorstorm on my ps3 but I could really use another FUN racing game for my 360. PGR4 is getting lonely.
Earth has been devastated by nature and most humans gone/dead?? Survivors start racing ???? Yeah makes perfect sense
Older, pre-alpha trailer from E3 2008, but it features realtime, not CGI footage of the game - even if it is pre-alpha, realtime footage.
I am a sucker for open-world, sandbox styled games, and like Test Drive Unlimited and Burnout Paradise, Fuel looks to follow in the open world racer footsteps, but on a much, much grander level as Fuel's sandbox is and astounding 14,000 square kilometers (8700 square miles) in size, which is absolutely unprecedented figure for any game. By way of comparison, you could fit all of San Andreas into this area, about 100 times! And if that were not enough, the entire map area is seamless with no hard load screens and the player is free to go where and when he chooses in this rally styled racer.
The other big premise being presented in Fuel, is that the race takes place in the not so distant future, after Global Warming has ravaged huge stretches of the Earth's surface. The gamer gets to race across some of the most imaginative, not to mention, gorgeous scenery in any game this gen. And then there is the future weather patterns of a world ravaged by Global Warming, like tornadoes and sandstorms, which the player will have to navigate or avoid, in real time.
Fuel is due to ship this summer . . . about three years late actually. Ironically, Fuel was one of the very first announced current-gen titles for the Xbox 360, and went by the name Grand Raid Offroad. Developed by Asobo Studios, the game has been retooled, and picked up by publisher Codemasters.
