(part 1)

looking good. lighting and sound are two of my personal favorite aspects of gaming and media, and this game seems to deliver on both nicely. i still need to play the first one but this is officially on my watchlist.

Looks soooo dark.

If its anything than the previous one then the gunplay and aiming will suck, I really didnt like it.
Felt clunky.

Nice graphics and atmosphere though.

What is with Eastern European games that have both amazing tech AND gameplay (Witcher 2, Alan Wake also), unlike other graphic benchmark games?

It's a pity they incorporated the kind of stealth element with the light but then forgot about the noise a gun makes. Or maybe not forgot but just ignored. Would be a lot better if there where other ways to shut down the lights.

Thats because Eastern-Europe has not been hollywoodized yet.

First weapon looks like a pneumatic one (bolts?) and the AK has a supressor. On top of that it´s piss dark.

It is too dark and the idea of making it more dark for stealth is not clever unless you have night vision

First game was very lacklustre, Had good textures, but thats about it. Hopefully they fix the glaring issues for this one? Fixing the gunplay would be a good place to start. Work their way up from there.

Oh I remember that part in the rocket bunker with the green blobs bouncing from the walls attacking you and your NPC mate. That was one of the worst parts ever.

Leaving that part out would have made the overall experience much better. God I hate missions where you have to worry about some dumb AI dying all the time.

I am not impressed....

I bought Metro 2033 off Steam long time ago and I still don't see a reason to download it.
