Xbox 360 PS3

Pipomantis and I had the opportunity to try and shoot NBA Street Homecourt as well as Def Jam Icon in Sony's PS3 Living Room. The builds of the game were quite early, and contained several bugs that you'll just have to forget when watching our videos. In other words, don't complain about every glitch you see, because we already know. Anyway, I won't go any further in details as we'll properly introduce the games to you in the next isse of Gamersyde Diaries, coming sooner than you think. Enjoy !

Brown really is the new "realism"... how it got from war games and shooters to beat em ups and b-ball is beyond me...

What is this, a Michael Bay movie? Yeah, certain color schemes work and others dont, and for basketball games, I dont think you want to go with that washed out or sepina look. If its dusk or dawn, then yeah, give us a big orange/brown hue.

It will be interesting to see where Def Jam goes with this one.

Also, any chance we can get these vids in WMV format?

EA has made good looking games before. Remember Fight Night Round 3? Photorealism. Really looking 4ward to Def Jam. Any date?

I hope this doesn't (again) have that stupid game mechanic that you have to end the fight with some kind of special move at some certain point. Tried some Def Jam and the fight would just never end because it was so counter intuitive and stupid.

Looks good otherwise, I hope they release a demo early like with FNR3.

Will this version finally get the online multiplayer that it deserves. I think it will be a blast to play this game online. It will be like NBA Jam on steroids.

The way the background animates in Def Jam looks pretty silly.

Looks impressive to me.. Afaik the background animates on the beat of the music, and imho that's a pretty cool feature.. EA Chigaco is doing some good work lately..

Not a big fan of basketball games, but Homecourt actually looks pretty fun.

The first couple of NBA Street games were pretty fun, and that's also coming from someone who is not a big fan of basketball games.

i don't like what they've done with def jam. they moved away from a wrestling/street fighting type game to a bad martial arts movie.
