Video Xbox 360 PS3

The Gamescom is continuing with this new video of Blur, looking quite a bit more convincing than the E3 build. Still, I'll never get why this game had to be so dark.

you know im all for the ultrareal sims and stuff, but its kinda nice to see a game taking things to the arcade level and making it fun i might actually pick this one up.

This game isn't about having an orgasm over the car models and that sort of thing (like Forza 3 or GT5). I'm thinking that it could be pretty fun on LIVE. It reminds me of Midnight Club or something like that though. Nothing really gets me excited about it, but it seems like it could be addictive online.

I'm still trying to stop having a temper tantrum about no PGR games, as I loved those to death. I'm not a big fan of the Burnout series and this seems to be going for that genre. At least it seems to be real cars and not the stupid crap you find in a burnout game.

Not liking it. Half the time it was hard to work out where to go... like playing PGR3's custom routes - it's just not clear enough. The fact that you don't see to ever have to slow down either, seems to detract from the driving skill. And finally, I can see the "blue shell" syndrome from Mario Kart creeping in here. How irritating will it be to constantly be getting spun out by someones power up. I doubt this one is for me. And I bought a 360 for PGR3/4 and an Xbox for PGR1/2.

You'd think they'd learn. They tried to re-invent shooters with The Club and failed. Now they are trying to re-invent racing games with this, and look likely to fail. Why break from the genre you are not only good at, but at the pinnicle of? They could have released Metropolis Uber City Racer on PS3, 360, and PC, refining the PGR series still further, and cleaned up. Instead they are dilluting their reputation with this drivel.

They probably believed (or were told to believe) what reviews were telling them about PGR4... that it was good, but not good enough to be brilliant, and then switched their attention to 'other things'. Major mistake.

I agree with zerolight 100%. Metropolis "uber city racer", lol, would have been soooo much better than this crap. Whoever told Bizarre to make this game should be shot in the head.

Now my hopes rest with the NFS franchise....oh god what a world! lol....

BC has lots me on this one.. To bad PGR had died just like RSC did, 2 very fine games.. MS has to work on that, to get games like that back on it's system..

PGR hasnt died though...microsoft own PGR, just like they own Halo..they'll always be Halo games with or without Bungie. And you can probably expect a new PGR game next year in place of a racing sim.

Hmmm, seems like BC has some serious convincing to do on this game as 95% seems to really dislike the look of this game.

I'm with the 95%, it's just totally unappealing in every which way...what were they thinking, one wonders...

Still doesn't look very promising, the track design (corner indicators etc.) seems to be horrible. What a shame :/

looks fast. Remind me of wipeout.. not just in the speed of it, but the fact that you appear to be gliding rather than having any gip on the road

Wow, this game is a mess. The driver has no clue where he's suppose to go, and I don't blame him. Physics are all over the place. The back wheels are turning instead of the front wheels. Nice.

Still gonna try it out. PGR4 was great racer and this is the same dev team.
If they've pulled off some kind of Burnout gameplay + licensed cars + weapons...then I'm in. Online would kick. I much prefer arcade racing than some proper sim type handling that has you off at the first corner. This looks like it might be fun...Dont know what's with them floating arrows though.

Well let's be fair we haven't played it yet so we can't just call it a failure already.

Admittedly, the visuals are awful, they remind me of Need for Speed Underground, which had that awful glowing all over the place.

It does seem that this was a pretty bad choice of game to make though. Split Second looks a LOT better and yet has a very similar premise to this game. I think I remember reading that this game has 4 player split-screen though so maybe that can save this.
