Lucasarts did not forget the Game Convention visitors, since they released these new images of LEGO Star Wars II, from either the Xbox or the Xbox 360 versions.
I wasn't a huge fan of first SW Lego game (probably because I hated the films the game was based on) but seeing these screens...I'm 100% sure I'll be picking this up.
I've got a great big stupid smile on my face from looking at those.
This is a definite purchase for me, I loved the first game, great co-op fun and a huge number of unlockable items.
The gameplay was great and to be honest its based on little blocks of plastic, so how could the graphics be improved any further?
It has great reflections & lighting and watching it move on the gameplay videos shows how good the animation is. Great fun & worth every penny.
The 360 version looks pretty good assuming those are true framebuffer grabs with real AA and not downscaled, but they shouldhave used vectors or very hires textures for the "decals" like eyes and faces. Would make for an even more realistic look than the blurry textures.
No self shadowning... wait, there are no shadows at all in the 360 version... I don't remember it exactly, but I thing my lego did cast shadows...
And the trees ... I don't know how trees should be represented in lego, but that looks ugly...
And the Xbox version... well looks ugly too. Ok, might be because of the increased size of the screens...

O the 360 there is no excuse for this not to look perfect. Shame.
