Xbox 360 PS3

Ubisoft released these images of Assassin's Creed, still officially listed as PS3 only. It's heavily rumored for a X360 release, so we'll put it on Xboxyde too.

Ubi aren't exactly known for their genuine screenshots :P

As for the 360 version, they've had plenty of opportunity to say "This game is for Playstation 3 only" but they haven't, they always say "Playstation 3 is the only platform it has been announced for"

You don't need to be a genius to read between the lines! ;)

You can kind of tell that the animation will be good by the clothing in the 1st pic.

The E3 / GC real-time version was exactly looking like this. Yeah, it was one of the most beautiful games of the show.

"realtime" meaning playable, or your just taking their word for it? Because it looks a little too good, especially that last screenshot, look at all the tiny little details on the close up character:

have you been to the official website there is definitely more to this game than meets the eve at presnt for example the character glitches like it is almost a simulation of famous assination attempts, we will see i guess

to far off at present to think to much about though

I still find it odd how people have a hard time identifying real-time from CGI. In the last image you can clearly tell it is real-time. Just examine the image, took me a few seconds to notice things. For one, look at his fingers (in the last image). The look a bit squared when balled into a fist. Next, look at the piece of clothing that is seperated from his leg. You can see sharp angles on it, not something CGI would have. It would all be smoothed out and rounded completely. It does look pretty close. There are other things I could point out.

Was it a 360 pad? :P

Seriously though, glad to hear it looks this good. Ubi do have a rep for tweaking shots.

CGI can look however you want it to look. I was actually suggesting that it may have been post-processed in Photoshop rather than rendered by 3D software.

The engine is called Scimitar and they have already announced they will be using it for another project (smart money being on Prince Of Persia)

The shots seem to be upscaled from a lower res like 1024x600, hence I have no reason to doubt that the game wouldnt look like that. Only the closeup of the stiletto in hand seems a little too smooth compared to the upscaled roughness of the other shots.

Wasn’t this game running on the 360 last years X05 show and at E306?

Oh wait that’s right UBI Soft said it was running on a PC that emulated the PS3 hardware. WTF!!

LOL that was a good one UBI Soft. I’ll be looking forwarded to playing this one on the 360.
