Well, may be it's time for it to change ? Honeslty. Everything looks green and I hate that. character models are outstanding but colors and textures not so much.

I think that was his point!, the game looks pretty bad imo and horrid for such a high profile game (COD4, RE5, Killzone, Halo3, Bioshock, etc, etc, etc all look far better).
The comments that this looks "bad" or even "horrid" i find real strange.
Do you really think Kojimas team, who probably have more knowledge on what the ps3 hardware is capable of than any other studio, would let anything out visually that didn't meet their needs and expectations? No they wouldn't. It's a conscious decision in design and style and most importantly identity.
I for one am glad that in the midst of this faceless next gen normal mapping orgy we are going through, a dev team has kept their identity.
Graphics aren't as impressive as I first expected. Also not too fond of the overdose of green.
Still should or could be a great game and a fitting ending for the MGS series.

Well MGS4 is not about tons of mad textures here and there like the Unreal Engine 3.
MGS4 is the last MGS game ever for Kojima or any MGS game at all, so Kojima is gonna make one of the best looking games he possibly can and make the best cinematic style and story as he can for his game, and that is what people should look at.
It's not trying to be the next best graphics on console, MGS4 is all about story and character, and how it is told.
I hope people stop saying how ugly this and that it is in the game, because once you are contorlling Snake and watching those bad ass action cutscene with that great orchestral hitting in the background visuals will probably be the last thing you will think off in the end of the cutscene, I promise you that.

Admittedly they are going a bit overboard on the media coverage of this game and it is diluting alot of the wow factor. Hopefully the amount of footage they have released is reflecting how much there is in the full game...hopefully.

Yeah I get what you are saying. But for me MGS series is more than just another game now, it's pretty much a rock in the games industry and with every release we have had an evolution of sorts. But I wouldn't agree it would be a good move to change the palette of the MGS games as i would see it as the equivalent of asking Clint Eastwood to do a musical.
The best game, looking at that trailer those are bosses I think. With each new trailer you see this stuff that you're mind can't understand at first.
Can't wait till next year.
Animations is not were this game shines at all?? in fact they are the only downer i can see on this game. Its all about the great gameplay and story and thats what MGS has always been about to me anyway.
Though the direction and animation're top notch, but i was hoping for'em to make this one a bit more realistic with the emphasis on PMCs vs Guerrilla warfare but, WTH.
