Take Two has surprised a lot of people by unveiling the sequel to the excellent Mafia during the Game Convention. Here are the first PC images of the game, and if you've known the first PC game, you should agree that it looks absolutely awesome.
the lighting and atmosphere in this images is beautiful. looking for word to see more of this game. I enjoyed the last Mafia game and hope this one lives up to those images.
Holy crap those screens look good. I loved the first game on PC and hopefully with the added horsepower of the PS3 & 360 and the fact that the developers seem to be developing with consoles in mind from the beginning this time, this should make for a great sequel on all three platforms.
Hmm, Wikipedia mentions a trailer. Any chance you guys got that footage? I'd love to see this one in action.
I got a feeling this games going to be a pleasure to look at, and thats about it... can't imagine many original gameplay ideas coming out of this, unless the enviroments a weapon, I want a board with a nail in it to take my mob beatings into next-gen.
The first was so memorable and awesome (PC version only). Can't wait for this! Mafia 2 is going to kick GTA4 right on the nads :)

you should check out Mafia 1 on PC. It's better than all GTA games combined, the gun fights were VERY awesome and so were most of the missions, and the atmosphere was oozing with quality
I found the story, presentation and such to be far superior in Mafia, but the actual gunplay, driving, and such are inferior to the 3D GTA games. The actual gameplay was adequate in Mafia, though. One thing I hated in Mafia was some of the story choices that were forced upon the character. GTA is always pretty straightforward too, but the choices don't usually piss me off enough to make me quit playing.
What we really need as gamers is a game like GTA or Mafia that lets us choose or own path.
Wow. This looks a million times better than The Godfather. I can't tell if any of that trailer was real time, but if it is.....wow. And mobsters speaking German is just hilarious.
